Prolouge:
It was a brisk Autumn morning in the year 1837. Birds were singing, evrything was calm, peaceful as some might say.
That is until I could hear faint screaming in the distance.
I couldn't resist myself from helping whoever was in distress, I mean, that's my job as a human, is it not.
I started to wander through the forest, following the sound.
Eventually I found myself in front of Wickerberry Tomb, where the screaming was almost earpiercing.
Looking around, I couldn't see one soul in sight, so I searched.
I seached every inch of that tomb still to find nobody, though I could still hear the screaming.
The screaming started to fade, and it turned out that the person I had been looking for had discovered me just as I discovered her.
"Sir, oh, thank goodness you are here! I was afraid no one could hear my pleads for help." The woman said.
"Trust me miss, I don't think your screams have gone unheard. They were certainly loud enough for me to hear." I reply.
"I'm finding it hard to trust anyone nowadays." She muttered.
"Well, I can assure you, I am no liar, you can put full faith in me."
"So you will help me?"
"Of course."
"Thank you, kind sir."
This lady had appeared to have gotten her foot stuck in a deep crack between rocks.
"So, ma'am, do I get the pleasure of knowing your name?" I ask trying to make polite conversation.
She smiled. "I'm Audrey. And whom are you?"
"My name is Mikael."
As soon as I said my name, Audrey's foot slipped out, as if it were a hand in a glove.
"Oh thank you so much Mikael!" Audrey exclaimed.
"The pleasure was all mine m'lady." I reply, proud of my accomplishment.
Audrey looked me straight in the eye.
"Well, now thats out of the way..."
All of a sudden, Audrey came up to me like a flash of light and slammed me against the hard rock wall. I tried getting out of her grasp, but it was no use, she was too strong.
"Oh Mikael, you should really ask if you can trust people back." She laughed mockingly.
Out of no where, you could see the veins coming up to her newly turned blood red eyes. She opened her mouth and I saw fangs.
It couldn't be possible...
Audrey bit her wrist and forced me to drink her blood, and in a way, when I drank, I felt somewhat healthy, like no injury or sickness could hurt me.
She pulled her wrist away.
"Now, Mikael, this is nothing personal..." She said.
Suddenly her hands were around my neck.
"Just building an army."
And just like that, my neck was snapped, and I took my last living breath.
*****
So um, yeah...
It's a work in progress okay.
Don't judge me, I'm awkkkksssss.
