Lei's POV.

Tora.

That's all I could think about.

Tora.

That guy Mikael was fighting had to be a vampire, right?

What if he turned Tora, and she's actually alive?

That would mean I'm freaking out for nothing, and that my best friend isn't really dead, yeah?

Ugh.

This has to be a dream, it can't be real.

Vampire's don't really exist.

What am I saying, I saw it with my own eyes?

Tora has to be in transition.

I don't know what I'll do if she isn't.

Who am I kidding? Vampires aren't real.

Right?

No, Lei, they are, you saw it.

How long does it take people to wake up from death?

Totally an everyday question you ask yourself.

Vampire Diaries expertise, don't fail me now.

...

Nope, my brain is mush.

Internet.

The internet answers everything.

1 hour.

So, let's see, Mikael left with that guy around 50 minutes ago, I dragged Tora in here and have been freaking out ever since.

10 minutes.

10 freaking horrendous waiting minutes.

I hope this works.

Wait, Norah-lee!

She's sitting in the kitchen with Miranda.

She saw the whole thing.

Just as I ran out to go ask Norah what happened, I heard a gasp for air behind me.

Oh my god.

Could it be possible?

I turned around to see Tora sitting up and searching for breath.

A single tear fell down my cheek.

"Tora!" I scream joyfully, running up and giving her a hug.

"Oh my god, Lei! I thought I was going to die!" She says hugging me back.

And then it hits me. I suddenly realise what her waking up means.

"You were dead." I state.

Her face drops.

"What?" She replies.

"You had no pulse. You were dead!"

Mikael wasn't faking. This is all real. Vampires exist. They aren't just some creature that writers make millions out of.

This is real shit.

And Tora is in transition.

"Tora. You are not going to believe what I'm about to tell you." I said intensely glaring.

"Are you about to say what I think you are going to say?" She questioned.

"You are in transition."

"Vampires, they exist."

"You are technically dead."

That's all I could say, I have to admit I was in shock.
