"Mike Man, People Were Expecting You At That Party. You Didn't Even Let Me Know You Weren't Going." Charlie Said Over The Phone.

I Sighed. "Something Came Up."

"With That Damn Girl Right? Michael She's A Distraction. You're Not Focused. You Told Me She Wouldn't Be A Problem."

"And She's Not."

"Well That's Not What I'm Getting From All This. Have You Even Been To The Gym Since She's Been Here?"

"Of Course."

"You Need To Get Your Head Back On Straight. Put Her In A Hotel Or Something."

"I'm Not Doing That Charlie."

"She. Is. A. Distraction."

"You Don't Even Know Her Charlie! Just Leave It Alone, Damn." I Said Hanging Up.

I Was Sitting At The Table In My Kitchen When Drea Came Skipping Downstairs.

"Hey." She Said Going Into The Fridge.

"Hey, You Still Wanna Go Running."

She Looked Up At Me. "You Think I Can Keep Up." She Teased.

"Let's See What You Got."

"Aight Let Me Go Change."

I Was Already In A Pair Of Joggers, No Shirt. Drea Came Back Down In Shorts And A Sports Bra. She Had A Drawstring On Her Back.

"You Gone Run With That On."

"Oh Honey, You Just Don't Know. Don't Forget, I'm A Dancer. That Counts For Something."

"Okay Fine, Let's Go."

I Grabbed My Keys And Slipped Them In To My Pocket With My Phone And We Walked Outside. Walking Out Of My Gate, I Greeted Some Neighbors.

"Okay, You Know That Park We Passed On Our Way To The Circus?" I Asked Drea.

"Yeah?"

"There's A Trail There, It's A Pretty Simple Trail I Think You'll Like It."

"Okay Lead The Way."

I Started Jogging And Drea Was Right Next To Me. We Conversed On Our Way There.

"So Your Foster Mom? Tell Me About Her."

"She Uh, She's A Hard Woman. She Grew Up In The 50's, 60's Yunno. Sometimes I Hate Her Ways. Shes So Old School. She's Not Always Understanding So Me And Her Bump Heads A lot But, She's Still My Mom Though."

"Sounds Like The Typical Mother Daughter Relationship."

"Pretty Much, Even Though People Tell Us We Fight Like An Old Married Couple. She Irks My Last Nerve, But I Love Her. What About You, What's Your Grandmother Like."

"Awe She's The Greatest. Closest Thing To A Mom I Ever Had And The Only Mother I'll Ever Need. She Did A Lot For Me, She's In A Nursing Home Now."

We Got To The Park And I Started Us Off On The Path. The Best Part About This Trail Is That It's Covered In The Prettiest Trees. The Kids Call It The Jungle Park.

"Wow, This Looks Amazing." She Said Looking Around At The Closed In Tree's.

"I Knew You'd Like It. Tryna Pick Up Some Speed?"

"Let's Do It."

Our Little Jog Turned Into An Actual Run And At Some Point We Were Sprinting. Everything Was Cool Until A Dude Running Past Us, Going In The Opposite Direction, Knocked Drea Down Hard And Kept Going.
