You know that feeling when you get over a crush?
Relieving right?
Well it isn't when the reason you get over her is because she threw you to the side, for a boy she has been dating for four months.
It's more bittersweet.
You finally can breath free, not worrying about impressing them. You don't have the heart break of liking someone who could never like you back. No more watching your words just to make sure that they're perfect. No longer do you sit there and wish while she is hugging her boyfriend.
But . . .
You also, have the loss of this something special that you felt between you. You have to come to terms with the fact that she pushed you to the side the first time she could. The first time that she started to really like a boy, she threw you to the side just because you're clingy.
You scream in your head that you're clingy with all your friends. Clinging to their sides, their arms, it's just a way that you try to keep them from leaving. Because every time you turn around someone is leaving you, so you fall into the bad habit of holding on with all your might.
Over it.
You're over it.
Because breaking your trust, throwing you away, can't stand. You still talk with her, you still are friends. But that spark you had in your heart dies and fizzles out. Nothing can reignite it.
You tried so hard to hang on, did everything you could think to.
She's apparently over it.
Fine.
So are you.
