Hidden Dreams.. [Book 1]

Chapter 1

The darkness swept over the she-cat, the stickiness of the water making her unable to move. She rose up for air but the water pushed her down again, the liquid filling her lungs.

The tabby she-cat finnally was able to get up for breath, panting.

"Where..where am i?" She coughed, trying to make out if this was a dream or not.

"But... this feels... so real.." her thoughts were cut off by a wave sweeping her under again.

Something poked her. She gasped, turning to find a dark figure with glowing eyes filled with starlight.

"What... are you.." her thought seemed to come out of her mouth clearly, her gaze windening.

The creature beckoned her with its tail, swimming away.

The tabby she-cat struggled to move but was able to follow the creature's somehow starry trail.

She found herself looking down at a light, it grew lighter and lighter and soon...

It filled her vision..

"Ember...Emberwing.."

"What?..." the tabby replied to the voice.

"EMBERWING!"

"Ah!" Emberwing coughed, jumping and falling over.

"Are you ok?" She found herself looking up at her white mother, Frostpool, her mother's green gaze filled with worry.

"I-im... fine..." she meowed steadily, panting for breath.

"Are you sure? You should see Littlegaze-"

"No mom im fine!" She huffed, still laying on the floor as she slowly caught her breath.

"Is it another nightmare?" Frostpool asked, her voice growing to a whisper.

"Yes..." her daughter finnally admitted, slowly rising to her paws and licking her white chest fur.

"Well..." her mother sighed, pausing for a moment and touching her daughter's forehead with her muzzle. "I hope you wont let them make you get too distracted.. its not good for you.."

"I know.." Emberwing sighed, her head lowered.

Emberwing let her mother slowly pull her towards her snow white fur.

"I love you mom.." Emberwing whispered.. "I just hope these nightmares go away soon.."

But still after feeling comforted by her mother, the image of the dark creature with star filled eyes still haunted her thoughts.
