The world was black around her, nothing but mist surrounding the tabby cat that stood in the dark place.

"Another dream?!" The tabby, Emberwing, meowed.

She padded along, the mist like icy cold water as she stepped against it under her paws. She slightly hissed as she tripped on a rock, falling over.

The tabby grumbled something, looking up at the sky.

No stars. No moon. Only pale light.

"Thats... strange.." Emberwing muttered, slowly rising to her paws.

The she-cat looked around. Nothing was here accept the mist, some rocks, a few tall dense trees, and darkness.

With a terrified look in her eyes, the tabby turned and dashed away.

"Hello? Anyone here? Hello!" Emberwing called, her voice desperate.

No answer.

"Please! Help me!" The tabby yowled, scidding to a halt.

She paused, looking back. Now behind her there was... nothing.

"Wh-what the-" the she-cat paused.

She heard a noise..... what was it though? Was it... some cats? Or..... a creature?

She turned, dashing forward.

The noise grew louder.

Emberwing pushed her way through the bramble bushes, the branches tugging at her fur. She winced as she felt one snag at her skin. Finally, she made it to the other side.

Infront of her, two cats were fighting, one dark and one white.

The white cat screeched, jumping forward and scrathing at the dark cat's face.

The dark cat screeched, blood staining the ground.

"What... what is this?!" Emberwing gasped.

The she-cat looked around, her eyes landing on a figure.

Behind the clashing cats stood the creature, with starlight in its eyes.

It stood there, looking at the battle like it was normal.

"Whats happening?! Whats going on?!?" Emberwing screeched.

The creature disappeared and then reapeared infront of her, it eyes much brighter up close.

It opened its mouth and slowly said in a deep voice.

"The light and dark will clash. But the only one who can win the fight is the one who stops it."

"Wh-what?!"

And the creature disappeared.

The tabby looked back at the battle.

Both of the cats lay dead on the ground. She squeaked and jumped back.

Emberwing felt the ground collaspe beneath her and the tabby yowled, slowly falling into the darkness.

"Ahh! Help!" She yowled.

And before the darkness consumed her, she saw the figure of the creature watching her slowly fall into the nothingness.

"I think shes waking up!" A voice exclaimed.

"Is she ok?!" A female voice sounded worried.

"Frostpool shes going to be ok. Stop worrying so much!" A male voice replied codly, a hint of worry in his voice.

"Mom... dad?" Emberwing mumbled.

"Darling! Are you ok?!" She reconized her mom's voice.

Emberwing slowly opened her eyes.

She saw her mother, Frostpool, and her father, Crookedstreak, standing over her.

"What happened?" Emberwing groaned.

"You got fell off a ledge when you tried to catch a squirle." Crescentflower pushed aside her parents and pressed her nose against Emberwing's cheek.

"Im so glad your ok!" She mumured.

Emberwing purred. The explanaition did explain the pain in her back, but nothing serious was done.

"Oh my gosh!" Emberwing's mother gasped. "There's a scratch on your side!"

"Huh?" Emberwing didnt notice the pain in her side.

"Wait... I GOT A SCRATCH FROM A BRAMBLE BUSH IN MY DREAM!!" Emberwing thought.

"Did.. you have another dream?" Crescentflower asked.

"Y-yes.." Emberwing sighed.

"Well then.." Crescentflower sighed. "Its time we took a visit to the Starstream.."
