Chapter 3// Someday

Zara's P.O.V.

" This is where we first met" I said and smiled.

" Yep, and it's very private."  He said hoping to get me to show him my hair. 

" Zed, not right now, someone could walk in at any second." He nodded, meaning he understood and he walked me over to the light to turn it on and grabbed a book.

When he said this I kind of gave him a weary glance. I mean yeah I'm a girl but I'm indefinably human.

As the bell rang, I looked at Zed and I wished him good luck at his game before going to class. The day went on and all I could think of was Zed. How his eyes sparkle, his perfect smile, and his soft careful hands. The bell rang signaling the end of the day and I went home with Addison. Walking in my room, I layed face first  on my bed. This boy has me whipped, and I can't shake it.  I took my wig off, placing it on my holder and went to take a shower. As the water came down on my face, I knew my makeup was off and you could definitely see I was half zombie. My green hair was held up on my head by my shampoo and as I washed it out. Staring at my hair as I got out of the shower and got dressed, I just wish that I could be me, and have no one judge me. Pushing my thoughts aside, I got ready and put my wig back on. I put my cheer uniform on and walked back to school with Addison.

At game

Zara's P.O.V.

Our team was getting crushed, as usual. I hope Zed is okay. As I thought this, Zed got pummeled by a whole group of footballs players. I Sighed as Bucky made a dumb comment. At halftime the team went into the locker room to talk and when Zed went to go  talk to Eliza and I knew something was up. I decided to ignore it and watched as Zed got back on the field. Right before the whistle was blown Zed swiped left  and he became a little more zombie-ish. He hacked his Z-band. Well, if it makes zombies become more accepted and doesn't hurt Zed, I'm all for it. The time kept going down as our score kept going up. Play after play, Zed scored touchdowns and eventually won the game for the team. He was carried by his teammates and as we walked towards me, I threw my pom poms on the ground and ran towards him. I stopped in front of him and smiled.

" That was a great game Zed!"

" Thanks, and you did some great cheering." As he said this I blushed and hugged him. It was the warmest thing I've ever felt, it just felt so safe to hug him and I never wanted to let go but I did. He smiled at me and after saying he had to go we parted ways and I went home, as happy as ever.

3rd person P.O.V.

Weeks went on as the football team kept winning. Everyone started to accept zombies and talk to them. Zara and Zed talked so much now, and this pissed Bucky off. Bucky knew he had to take action and that was exactly what he planned on doing tomorrow.
