Annie's P.O.V

I ran downstairs and grabbed my phone to text Max when I saw him standing outside.
I was just about to walk up to him when I noticed he was talking to someone.
I peeked out to see who it was and my heart sank.

It was Holly.

What's she doing here??
They both were talking and by the looks of it, she was flirting a LOT.
Suddenly,he grabbed her hand and she giggled.
I turned away in disgust.
Of course he was going to ask her.
It obviously didn't make a difference to him whether I was going or not. I'm pretty sure he would rather go with her anyways.
I rolled my eyes and went to the living room. I sat on the couch and put on PLL on Netflix. Ezra and Aria's relationship seemed so much easier compared to Max and mine at the moment.

Max's P.O.V

"Omg! I can't believe Max mills asked me to prom!! Wait till I tell all my friends!" Holly squealed and I tried really hard not to roll my eyes.
"Yeah its going to be fun." I said shrugging.
"Let's take one of those cute couple selfies! I'll post it on Insta." She said fishing out her phone from her pocket.

"Uhm..Yeah..we'll do that later..you should go now." I said running my hands through my hair.
"Go where? Ooh I know! why don't we both go out on a date!" She said grabbing my hand.
"Actually..I think you should go buy your prom dress..you don't wanna leave it to the last minute." I said pretending to sound cheerful.
"YES! I'll text all my friends to meet me at the mall. See you later Maxxy poo." She said blowing me a kiss and I inwardly cringed.

"What have I got myself into." I mumbled shaking my head.

I walked into the living room to see Annie sitting there on her phone watching PLL.
"Hey.." I said awkwardly.
"Hi..." She said looking away.
I shrugged and just sat down  next to her.
She was quite for a moment before she spoke up,"Holly was here?"
I sighed,"yes."
"Why? You're asking her to prom?" She said sounding annoyed.
Was she serious?
She has no right to be jealous after rejecting me for Tom!

"Yes..do you mind?" I asked calmly.
She turned and glared at me," No of course I don't mind. You obviously liked her the entire time."

"Are you seriously going to turn the tables on me?! You're one who rejected me for Tom!" I said getting pissed.
"You don't even know what actually happened!" She argued.
"I don't think I even want to know." I said rolling my eyes.
"Exactly! You don't even care." She shouted.
"Why would I?! You always do this! You side with Tom and then he hurts you and then you come crying to me! Well I couldn't care less about him or you. Infact I hope he hurts you again so you see what he's actually like!" I snapped.
I regretted it as soon as it said it.

For a moment she looked blank and then
she snatched up her phone from the couch.

"Where're you going?" I said finding my tongue.
"Home." She mumbled.
"Home?" I repeated.
"My mum will be back tomorrow morning. I can't stay here anymore."  She said and I stared at her in shock.
I didn't know what to say.
She walked out before I could stop her.
Oh no I have to stop her.

"Annie wait...!" I said running after her, but she was already on the other end of the road.

Shit.

What did I do?
