Chapter-21

Annie's P.O.V

The next morning I woke up early. I had a text from Tom-

Tom😍- Good morning
Tom😍- see you at school today❤️

I remembered how he told me he had something important to tell me at school.
I also  remembered how max rolled his eyes when he saw that. But why would he do that? He couldn't be jealous could he?
I quickly replied,
Me- good morning tom
Me- see you😊

Then I put my phone down and decided to get up. Sarah was fast asleep next to me. I shook her and woke her up.
"5 more minutes mom." She mumbled and I rolled my eyes. I pushed the blanket aside and took my clothes out. I had messaged my mom where I was staying and she dropped over some of my clothes and my school bag.

Then I changed into this⬇️

I put in my black converse and made a messy bun. I put some eyeliner and a little bit of lipgloss. Then I was ready to go.
When I came out of the bathroom Sarah was still asleep.
"Wake up." I said taking the blanket off her.
She glared at me.
"I was sleeping." She grumbled.
"Yeah I noticed." I said chuckling.
"Get ready and come down for breakfast."
I said grabbing my phone and going downstairs.

When I went downstairs Leo and Max were already eating. When max saw me walk in he looked up at me and his mouth hung open . "You...you look.." He stuttered. Leo laughed,"  stop staring max it's rude!". I rolled my eyes trying to hide a smile and sat down opposite max.
"Good morning Annie, tell me what you want to eat." Sara said, putting some toast on Leo's plate.
"I'll have some cereal thanks." I said picking up the box of Lucky Charms and putting it in a bowl.
Harvey walked in and you could literally feel the tension in the room, but the two twins decided to completely ignore each other.
"Good morning Annie..where's Sarah?" Harvey asked me.
I was just about to reply  when she walked in. And she looked amazing!

She had made a braid and had put some mascara and lip gloss.
Harvey's mouth opened like a goldfish.
Yep he obviously liked Sarah. There was NO WAY he didn't.
"Wow none of my brothers have manners. Both of them stare with their mouths wide open." Leo said shaking his head in disapproval. Sarah blushed.
"Good morning what do you want to eat?" Sara said smiling when Sarah walked in.
"I'll have some lucky charms." Sarah said coming and sitting next to me.
"Sleeping beauty finally wakes up." I commented and she smacked my arm.
When we all finally finished we said goodbye to Sara and walked to school.
Max was walking ahead while Sarah and Harvey walked behind me teasing each other about random things.
I walked up to him.
"Hey is everything okay ? I mean with Harvey?" I asked him.
He ran his fingers through his  hair," I honestly don't know..I'm just avoiding him for now."
I nodded .
"So..is it official?" He said looking at me.
I looked at him confused.
"Huh?"
"You and Tom..is it official?" He asked.
I looked down biting my lip nervously.
I didn't know myself to be honest. I don't even know if I like Tom that way anymore..?
Ugh that sounded ridiculous. I had liked Tom since like 6th grade and now that he finally liked me back,I was unsure?
"I'm not really sure."
"Oh.." he looked sort of hopeful.
"Annie?" He said looking at me.
"Yeah? " I said looking up. When I did, I noticed that he had amazing eyes. They were hazel I felt myself getting lost in them (haha cheesy much😜).
"Thanks for looking out for me yesterday."
I smiled at him.
He was really cute.
I held his hand, and he blushed.
"No problem." 

Tom's P.O.V

Okay,I'm freaking out.
Today is finally the day I'm going to ask Annie out. I decided to ask Annie out and then later text Emily that it's over. I had never seriously even liked Emily. I wasn't sure if Annie liked me back so I used Emily to find out if Annie was jealous and I'm pretty sure she was. I know Annie likes me now and it's time for me to ask her out. I was standing near the school gate waiting for her to come and I saw her. Holding hands with max! They were both talking and then he said something to make her laugh and she blushed letting out a giggle. I jogged up to them, and max looked up at me glaring.
"Oh hey tom!" Annie said smiling. She looked so pretty!
She was still holding Max's hand and that annoyed me.
"Annie I need to talk to you." I said.
She nodded and then to my relief she left Max's hand.
"Max I'll see you later ok?"  She said looking back at him.
He didn't say anything, and continued to frown at me. Who cares if he was there when I asked her out?! He deserved to watch me ask Annie out and see how much she liked me and not him.

"What's up Tom?" She said looking at me.
I don't think  she noticed  see max standing right there, giving me death stares.
I held both her hands and she turned pink.
"Annie..I really like you . And I know you like me to so will you be my girlfriend?"
Annie didn't reply. I thought she was shocked at my question and that's why she was blank, but then I realised why .
She was staring at Emily who was standing right behind us next to Max.
Emily looked really mad!
No wait that's an understatement, she looked furious!
She walked up to us and removed Annie's hands from mine. I was about to protest when her hand hit my cheek. 
"How can you do this Tom?! You just cheated on me!" She looked really upset.
Annie looked really guilty,"Emily I'm so sorry I...-"
"No Annie! Don't apologise. I knew this would happen. It's not your fault,I saw the way Tom looked at you. Well then good for him,you can have him!"
She walked off, dragging a surprised Max with her.
Annie and I just looked at each other in silence,not knowing what to say.

Max's P.O.V

Uh oh Emily was really mad. She went and shouted at Tom and I felt so bad for Annie. She looked so suprised and hurt. I really felt like walking up to her and giving her a hug, but I couldn't bring myself to. What if she said yes to Tom and became his girlfriend?! That would hurt so bad.  Suddenly I saw Emily turning around and coming right at me.
Was she going to kill me?
She caught hold of my shirt and pulled me away.
"What are you doing ?" I said when she finally stopped.
"Max I need your help. Please help me." She said pleading me.
I groaned," Fine what do you want."

"Be my boyfriend." She said smirking.
"What?!" I said shocked.
She laughed," not my real one chill. Be my fake boyfriend.. I want to make Tom jealous."
I paused.
I liked Annie so I wasn't sure if I wanted to date Emily ( even if it was fake), but Annie was going to date Tom anyways. So she probably didn't even care who I dated.

"Alright." I said with a huff.
"Thanks max you're the best! I totally owe you." Emily said winking. Then she walked off.
Oh god what did I agree to?
It would be so hard for me to pretend to like Emily, especially in front of Annie.
I knew Annie liked Tom, that was obvious but I really felt like she may have felt something for me as well. Ugh if only that jerk Tom didn't have to get in the way!

I rolled my eyes in annoyance and went to class.
