*finns pov*

i call noah, it's 2:20pm, so im sure he's finished his school work, his parents are homeschooling him for a little bit. im getting closer to the others, one by one.
i cleared the air with sadie and now im trying with noah.
he agrees and we meet at mine. we walk aimlessly down the street.

"so noah, i kind of just want to apologise for being such a jerk" i say, and he looks at me confused.
"what?"
"im sorry"
"ok? i really don't know what for, you didn't do anything to me finn" he laughs, "i thought everything was cool"
"oh it is, i just thought that id upset you that's why you didn't hang out with me or anything" i say sadly.
"well, i thought you'd fallen out with me so i have you some space" he laughs and i shake my head.
"what idiots" i reply and he laughs.

"so...let's go get ice cream"
"not everything we do has to end with us getting ice cream noah"
"but ice cream is good!!"

so that's what we do, we get ice cream.

*rivers pov*

"so, river, there's a dance coming up at school, and i wanted to ask jack but im not entirely sure how" harper says nervously as we fold and put away clothes in my bedroom.

i smirk, "i didn't think the school did dances" i say and she shrugs, throwing socks around the room.
"neither did i, we didn't do them back in england but it's very different here. the other day i asked sadie to bring me a trolley and she looked at me confused. millie sighed and pulled one over and said to sadie "she wanted the cart you silly" and i laughed because millie said she'd told sadie so many times and she forgot" harper laughs.

"ok but what does that have to do with the dance? stop throwing, look can you help me?" i ask her and she groans.
"i am"
"throwing socks in the basket isn't helping. also you have a terrible aim" i say and she throws the socks at me, completely missing.
"see. you just proved my point"
she rolls her eyes, "i don't know how to ask jack" she says and i shrug.
"it's not difficult"
"sure. you probably couldn't ask jaeden to a date"

i think about it, going to say something ridiculously witty.

"no you're right"

that wasn't what i wanted to say, i curse myself.

"see and you just proved my point" she says, smiling, satisfied with herself.

"right, ok! well help you ask jack to the dance. only- if you help me right now" i say and she jumps up.
"fine. deal"

we spend the rest of the day cleaning and laughing. harper insists her overalls were dirty so instead of using the washing machine, she threw them in a bubble bath. she laughed loudly.
god she's such a child. her 4 year old sister behaves better than her.

"harper!!! are you serious? how old are you??" i yell and she laughs.
"14. but this is fun"
"no. it's not. you've made a mess. and it was a rhetorical question, i know how old you are" i say flatly.

"come on river, let loose a little. it's just a bit of soap" she says, blowing a huge amount of bubbles in my face.
"yeah maybe. but my moms going to be back soon, get out of the bathroom so i can clean. no actually you can clean it, that way if she does come back, you'll get in trouble because you're in there" i say smartly and she whines.
"fine ill clean it" she says, grabbing a towel.

we sit downstairs, watching a bunch of old disney channel shows, quoting the ones we know off my heart. we get a bit carried away, watching them until 3am. we both fall asleep messily on the chair, harper up one end and im down the other.
