Sesshomaru and Rin | Unexplainable

Chapter. 4

We'd been walking into the forest for a while now, and Lord Sesshomaru stopped in a clearing in the woods. The sun was shining bright, and the warm wind blew through my hair. I took a deep breath, and inhaled the fresh air.

«Jaken, leave us.» Lord Sesshomaru said out of the blue. I looked up at him, but of course he didn't look at me. Instead, he looked straight out into the forest.

«But why my lord? I always want to stay by your side!» Master Jaken replied. He had his eyebrows lowered togther with his mouth.
Lord Sesshomaru gave Master Jaken a killing look, and the green little demon quickly walked away.

«What was it you wanted to talk to me about Lord Sesshomaru?» I asked. He sat down under a tree, and pointed out, that I also was to sit down.
So I did.

«Rin, you are allowed to acompany Jaken, A-Un, and I again, if you wish so.» And as he said that, my heart dropped. I had almost given up on Lord Sesshomaru saying more or less those words. He didn't directly ask me to join him and the others again, but it still made me feel happy. But then, I felt another feeling. And I didn't like it.

If I choose to go with them, I'd have to leave all my friends in the village. I always thought that if Lord Sesshomaru ever was to ask me to come with him again, I wouldn't think twice about it. That I wouldn't be sad about leaving the village where I more or less grew up. As a child I'd probably pack my stuff and leave with him without a second thought. Maybe waving a goodbye the moment I leave, but I am not a child anymore. I don't see Lord Sesshomaru as my only friend and possible protector. Even though I think he is the one who probably would win over any demon.
What is wrong with me? Isn't this what I always wanted?! For my lord to finally ask me to join him again? Why aren't I as happy as I thought?

«What is it, Rin?» Lord Sesshomaru then asks. He looks down at me, while I am looking at the ground. I see a tiny flower rising from the grass. So tiny, but still so beautiful.

«I want to go with you my lord. Believe me. But I have to talk to Kagome, Sango, Inuyasha, and all the others in the village first.» I answer him. He then looks up to the sky, and I look up at him. He is, to be completely honest, gorgeous. His golden, glowing eyes. The stripes on his face and wrists. He is a creation of the gods themselves. I really want to go with him, but how will I decide between him, and my friends?

«I give you three days, Rin. Then you must have decided.» Lord Sesshomaru says expressionless, before wandering off. I stay put, and sigh. What will I decide? And...how?

«Rin! You're finally back. Where were you?» Kagome asks concerned. She is walking towards me with Mayuna holding her hand.
«What the matter, Rin? Why do you look so sad? Did something happen?» She asks again. This time stopping a few feet in front of me. I look up at her, into her eyes. She is always so kind-hearted. So concerned about everyone. How can I leave a person like that?!

«Kagome. Can I- can I talk to you about something?» I ask her. I try to fake a little smile, but I don't think it's any succeed.

«Sure, of course. Let me just put Mayuna and Kasaki to bed. Should I bring Sango along?»

«Yeah, please do so...and, thank you, Kagome.» She gives me a humble smile before she turns around and walks away from me.

Just like Lord Sesshomaru...

Sesshomaru's POV

I see her down there, by the village. I'm watching over her. No one is to hurt her. If they do, they'll pay with their life.

That human girl has grown on me. More than I hoped. And now, she has grown on to this village. I should never have left her here, I- I shouldn't have brought her with me in the beginning.
That human girl...

«So, Sesshomaru. Why on earth did you want to talk to me?» The half-breed asks. I'm needed to talk to the half-demon Inuyasha, to tell him something.

I look out over the village. Facing the bright moon lighting up the dark.
«Naraku is not dead. Your dear Kikyō is still alive. Or, if you call living inside Naraku alive-» I say, before getting interrupted by a fierce sword trying to cut me down. Tetsaiga...long time no see.
Of course, i draw my sword, the Bakusaiga.

«You better shut your mouth Sesshomaru! Or I will end you now. Once and for all!!»

«Do you think I'm pleased with Naraku still being alive?! Now let me speak, or it is going to be me, who ends you!» Inuyasha settled his sword, giving me a death-stare.

«Kikyō died, she found peace!» Inuyasha points out. The thing is, he's wrong.

«No, Inuyasha! Kikyō is NOT dead! Naraku feeds of her soul, and will eventually revive from death.» I say facing Inuyasha this time.

«But, her soul found peace- I, don't understand...» He answers me. I snort, he is so stupid! A mere half-breed like him!

«Do you actually believe that?! That her soul would find peace without the soul she deeply loved? That's impossible, Inuyasha!» I snort at him.

«But that means..-» He starts, before I interrupt him.

«Yes, half-demon. You have to die! And Kikyō must be the one to do it!» The cold but hard truth...

Rin's POV

«So, what's wrong Rin? I haven't seen you this upset since ages. We're here for you. We always are!» Sango's soothing voice says. She lays a hand on my knee, while looking at me compassionatly.

I sigh, before looking up at the two women sitting in front of me, and say;
«Lord Sesshomaru said I could go with him again if I wanted to...»

I've been thinking of changing this story drastically...where they don't have families and there's no real POV's. Where there still is drama between Kikyõ and Inuyasha etc. Of course I would bring Sesshomaru and Rin together👌🏻 What do you think?
