mimics are complicated when it comes to scientific studies. Due to they're powers, so much information fluctuates and changes with each form that they take, so scientists are unsure of almost anything about them.
-feeding-
Mimics have not disclosed how they naturally feed, but it is found that a mimic will feed on the same thing that the immortal species they are acting as does. For instance, if a mimic is acting like a vampire, they will need to drink blood to live. This fact makes legal issues including mimics difficult due to their ability to shift, but the age of the mimic determines how fast they can shift, so cases that include a mimic feeding on someone too much CAN be solved, it is just difficult.
-breeding and mating-
Mimics do not keep permanent mates, they instead have the freedom to mate as they wish due to their fluctuating species and breeding cycles. As you can imagine, this causes a lot of issues with knowing what is rape, and what is breeding.
-pregnancies-
the switching of species causes a lot of speculation that they have nine-month pregnancies, but there is no scientific evidence to prove this.
-powers-
depending on their age, mimics can copy someone or a species to a varying degree of success. When they are young, like ten to eighteen, they can copy someone's species or appearance, but not their powers or personality. When they get a bit older they learn to copy personalities, but no matter how old they are, they can't copy mental illnesses exactly.
mimics are unable to be classified.
