"Kazuto, where to?" You say as he looks at you with a stern face.
"How many times do I have to tell you, not to call me that." He says, with a strict, yet more calmer voice than before.
You stop walking, causing him to stop as well.
"Listen, why are you acting like this? Before you were all playful, and now you're so concentrated, and... weird.." You say, with a confused look on your face.
"Because...." He says sternly, then he has a sad face.
"i don't want you to die." He says really quietly.
You look at him with a shocked expression, and then smile.
"I won't---you won't either." You try to reassure him.
"If I'm not strong enough, you will die." He says.
"We can do this together, none of us will die. I promise." You say with a smile.
"Promise?"
"Promise."
He sighs and then puts his hand on your arm. "Don't call me Kazuto here, I'm not the real me here. I think we both need to remember that the person here is not the person we are in real life. Some people forget that." Kazuto says as he looks up.
"You're always good with those quotes, Kirito." You say with a smile.
"'Course. Now, let's eat something, goober."
You then giggle and grab his arm and start running to the next village.
What a cute dork.
