she looks like a daydream.
a siren out of water, perfect
to every stranger.
there's rips in her blue jeans
from the hounds that are trying to invade her happiness.
scratching her, trying to tear her down.
from the front,
you can see all the scars left behind
from the hounds that abandoned her
