Chapter 4 - The Hogwarts Express
The train chugged along, the Scottish landscape not long turning British, as rolling hills of green passed in a hurry. I kept myself entertained by reminiscing the incredible last few days. It had almost happened too quickly to process and enjoy, and now finally thinking about it, it was crazy. I had just entered 3 of the most amazing fictional worlds, and from what I knew, i was on my way to many more. I couldn't believe i just met the chosen one, the doctor and the great wizard Gandalf. My head spun with the immensity of it all.
After a while, i got up and began to explore the carriage and the rest of the train. My carriage was empty apart from me and the broomstick that was resting on one of the seats - the sonic screwdriver was still tucked neatly into my back pocket. I realized that i had not got any luggage, the clothes that i began my journey in were still being cleaned by the house-elfs back in Hogwarts. So i was still supporting my House colours with my school uniform, a gryffindor tie and scarf, and robes that bore the house emblem. I began to worry about what i would carry my things in along the way, when there was a knock on the carriage door. I jumped with a start, I didn't think anyone else was one the train with me.
I opened the door hesitantly, Standing in the doorway, was a wispy haired, blond, rather peculiar looking girl. She wore a the same robes as me but with a royal blue tie and emblem, the colours of Ravenclaw. She had a hat on that was more like a bonnet, it covered her whole head, and resembled something like a... LION! Luna Lovegood! Its The only Explanation!
She Blinked at me through a pair of pink and yellow glasses that looked like hands, her large eyes staring at me in almost a daze.
"Hello" she said dreamily as she invited herself in, and took a seat on the chair next to the window.
"Umm, Hi." i said intrigued. I had read about her and had always found her fascinating. I sat down opposite her.
"I'm Luna Lovegood." she said airily and stuck out a hand, i shook it carefully, she seemed so fragile and gentle.
"Hi, my names Rosa, sorry, i diddn't think anyone else was on the train." I don't know why i apologized, it just felt polite i guess.
"Oh that's quite alright, people often don't notice me." She said, looking down at her sneakers that were covered in little red cherries.
"Oh no, i didn't mean it like that!" I said shocked! "I just diddn't think the train was running for any other reason than to take me too.. actually i don't know where I'm going!"
"London, that's where we're heading." She said smiling. "I'm just here because I need to pick up some magazines from my dad's business, to sell in school. My Daddy's the editor of The Quibbler, did you know?"
As a matter of fact I did, but I diddn't want to ruin her good mood, "No I diddn't, that is fascinating!"
A beaming smile erupted on her pale face,
"It is isn't it! Would you like a copy?"
She handed me a rolled up magazine that she had been keeping in the pocket of her robe.
"This one's last seasons, but i don't suppose it matters, you still get the free gift, look!" she popped out a pair of glasses that were attached to the cover,
"They're called Spectaspects, They help you see the nargles." she leaned in and whispered the last part in my ear, as if the Nargles - whatever they were- could be eavesdropping.
"Th-thanks!" i stuttered as i placed the multicoloured spectacles on my nose and looked around. They were the same as the hand shaped ones she was wearing. The world through the glasses was amazing, the colours were in reverse, as if someone had completely re-designed the colours of the earth.
