Chapter 2

The night is coming and Ashley walk home alone because after Clement left, Callista left her too because her parents got worried.

Actually, Ashley doesn't like darkness. But what can she do? She didn't have another choices besides walking to her apartment. Ashley needs to save her money because she wants to be independent. She didn't want to always count on her parents.

Ashley walks at the sidewalk with a dim lights, try to ignore the scary atmosphere.

She doesn't know why, but she felt there's a car followed her from behind. Ashley isn't brave enough to looked back at the car.

Ashley walks faster but the car still following her.

Suddenly, Ashley stepping on the gravel, makes her fall.

'Oh, no. Oh, no. I'm dead. I'm totally dead. I can't walk. My feet is really hurt right now. What should I do?' Ashley doesn't know what should she do. She only thought that in any minutes, she will be dead.

Ashley heard the door car has been opened and automatically, Ashley closed her eyes. Ashley can't thinking straight right now.

"Are you okay?" Hearing a man voice beside her, Ashley got shocked. Is she going to die?

Still in her position, Ashley closed her eyes, doesn't want to open her eyes.

After that, Ashley feels someone hold her wrist and that man help her to stand.

Ashley sighed. Her feets hurt. She even hesitated if she can walks or not after seeing her condition like this.

"Aren't you going to open your eyes?" Ashley heard the man voice again and slowly opening her eyes.

What she saw right now makes her got shocked even more. She can feel her energy decrease and almost falling again, but the man hold her.

"Hey. Are you okay? Should I bring you to the hospital?"

Ashley blinks her eyes several times, didn't believe with what she saw. This man. The man she liked for a really long time. His face still perfect, but more mature. His voice. She really liked it.

'Ashley!' Ashley remind herself.

For a split second, Ashley got fascinated by Ethan again.

Ashley knew what she do right now was wrong. But how can she didn't fascinated by this man again?

It's no use. Her attempt to forget about this man for 8 years.

Ashley let go from Ethan's hold and try to stand by herself.

"Tha... Thank you." Ashley take off her heels and walks slowly. What is her choice? She isn't crazy enough to still wear her heels.

"If you don't mind, I can drive you home."

"I mind. Thank you." Ashley turn over and continue her walks.

What's wrong with this day? Why after she already success erased his face from her head, she need to see it again? That man wasn't even notice who she is.

"Excuse me..." Ashley heard that voice again. Ashley turn over, saw Ethan, and answered.

"Shut up. Can you go now and don't disturb me? You're so annoying." Ashley answered with annoying words and tone so Ethan can go away.

Ashley continue her walks again and relief because Ethan isn't following her again.

Ashley walks with difficulty, and after 30 minutes, she arrived at her apartment.

Ashley sit at the side of her bed and thinking about what happened earlier.

"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!! Just forget about him!" Ashley hit her head with her hands.

It's easy for him to destroy everything. Destroy her effort to forget about him.

Without realising, Ashley's eyes become teary, and... She cried.

Ashley cry in the silence. How she hates that man, but forgetting him isn't that easy. She still had a feeling for him.

Ethan just finished his work and want to go home soon. He's already exhausted.

The road is quiet. It's not weird because it's already 11 P.M.

And at that time, Ethan saw a man wearing a black clothes and cap following a blonde hair girl.

Usually, Ethan won't care with another person matter. What he cared about was only himself.

But right now, he choosed to followed that girl from the car. He just didn't want anything happened to that girl.

A few moments later, the man with a black outfit walking to another direction.

But, what's happening? He still following that girl.

He still wants to pay attention to that girl, just to make sure she will be okay.
Even though he only saw that girl from behind, he can feel that this woman is beautiful.

Suddenly, that girl fell and didn't move at all. Is she okay?

Ethan get out of the car and asking if she's okay.

But what he gets is a cocky and annoying answer. That girl walk to another direction, trying to avoid him.

Ethan found something unusual from himself. Why he didn't get angry although that girl disgrace him?

Usually, he will get offended and angry. But, guess what? He still got his attention to that girl. He waits until that girl dissapear from his sight.

Is this what people said... Interest?

After she dissapear from his sight, Ethan walk back in his car.

Ethan thought about what happened earlier. He doesn't know why, but he can see hate from her eyes.

The truth is... They don't know each other, right?

'Then why she gave me that look?'

Ethan pay attention to the thing in his hand and without realising, a whisper came out of his mouth.

"I will get you."
