Daniel was scanning the room for what felt like the hundredth time looking to see if she was here. They had been here almost an hour and he still had not seen her. Daniel had not realized how big of a deal this was until they had arrived and walked the red carpet. Daniel was so proud of Vixen he would almost burst. He had not realized how huge her company was, how she had started it and had built it into and empire all on her own. A variable "Who's Who of Hammersville City" was here and they all were supporting and applauding Vixen and the work her company was doing.

"Who would have thought that a bunch of fatties could actually look kinda hot," Sal said leaning in Daniels direction.

They were waiting for drinks at the bar to take them to their table. Actually it was Sal's turn to buy the drinks. Daniel had really come because he could see the entire room from the bar and he could tell if Vixen had arrived yet.

"Sal, don't be such a dick, man," Daniel said.

"I am serious. I have seen at least two of them that I would be willing to bang under the right circumstances," Sal said jokingly with a little giggle.

"You better not let Gavin hear you say that shit," Daniel said, picking up the drink the bartender had sat in front of him and taking a sip. Daniel was still looking for her to walk in and that was when his eyes went to the door and there she was.

"DAMN" were the words that came from Sal's direction as she stood just inside the door having her picture taken by one of the event's photographers. Daniel could not tear his eyes away from her. She was stunning! She was wearing what he was sure was a royal blue silk high low asymmetric hem Fendi dress, with a front deep V neckline and a cut out open back. Her beautiful black hair had large curls cascading down her shoulders with a gold head turban draping the top of her head like a crown and to top off the sexy ensemble, she wore a pair of gold cuffed stiletto Fendi pumps which adorned her feet drawing attention to her deliciously soft and delectable skin.

Daniel could still smell her skin and feel her lips on his from the kiss they shared three long weeks ago in her office.

"Is that her?" Sal was saying to him.

"I thought you said she was..... Well, chunky," Sal said holding his arms out at his side puffing out his cheeks like he was a balloon float.

"I didn't say shit like that to you, Sal and you better not say it to her or.." he said turning angrily on Sal.

"Okay, okay," Sal said, cutting Daniel off and putting his hands in the air. "I will be on my best behavior." They both turned back to look at Vixen and she was smiling for a photo. 'She has a dimple,' Daniel thought. 'I never noticed that before.' She looked so happy and proud standing there smiling and taking pictures. Just at that moment, Sam approached them saying,

"Randy sent me to see what was taking so...." she stopped mid-sentence to look in the direction that Sal and Daniel were looking in and said, "Is that her Daniel? She is gorgeous and she's not fat!" Samantha said in an angry tone hitting Daniel on his arm.

"I never said that. I never said that!!" Daniel said a little louder than was necessary. He was a little afraid that someone she knew would hear them saying that and he had never at any time thought or said anything like that.

"I mean she has lost some weight since I last saw her," he said, looking down at his sister-in-law taking a long sip of his drink, signaling for another.

"Well, I hope you know what you are going to say because she is coming this way and she does not look happy to see you," Sal was saying under his breath trying to looking inconspicuous.
