Beads of sweat formed on my forehead, I swiped my arm across my face and continued to sprint through the darkness. There was absolutely nothing but pitch black surrounding me, it was suffocating. I whipped my head around and stalked forward quietly, who knows what could be waiting for me. My back grazed a hard, cold object causing a shiver to shoot up my spine. My eyes fell upon the very metal rods which Mr. Moore caged me in. Fear, the only emotion I could feel. I'm frozen in my tracks, the fear is crippling, I watched as the bars disappeared. A moment later the metal shot out from the ground around me and I'm trapped once again.

A cloaked figure appeared in front of me, a foreign raspy voice made its way to my ears. Straining my eyes to see the face of my mysterious captive two red orbs pierced my soul, there was nothing but darkness. My breathing is out of control and I clutch my chest to calm my racing heart. I can't speak, I can't move, I cowered to the corner of the metal cage as everything went dark.

"I never knew a panic attack could silence you so quickly girl. It seems as if the rumors about you are nothing more than just that, rumors. It wasn't very difficult to reach you either, this is gonna be a treat for me." His voice echoed in my head, the flesh on my arms felt as if it went up in flames. Screaming out in agony the demons dry chuckle flooded my consciousness, my eyes open to greet a horrible grin, razor-sharp teeth darting out in every direction. glancing at my arms the skin beneath the large chains sizzled, a black substance crept across my skin.
"It seems as if you're just another scared little girl, I could end your suffering rather quickly," bony fingers extended from the darkness of the cloak, with one finger he gestured for me to come closer. Without warning, my body began levitating, painfully crashing against the cages metal bars, he was now mere inches away from the cloaked figure.

"Look how pathetic you are, I haven't even gotten started child. Yet here you are shedding tears." An unseen presence kept me painfully pressed up against the cold bars, as his filthy finger grazed my tear stained cheek anger overshadowed my fear.

"Don't fucking touch me, you filthy bitch!" Breaking the chains from my bleeding wrists I step away from the monster in front of me.

"I will no longer allow you to scare me into submission, I will no longer cower in fear, I will no longer allow you to speak down to me!" With one swift movement, I break the metal rods confining me. I will not stand for this any longer.

"You're making a grave mistake child, you have no chance up against me, I'm..." He talks too much, my fist dug into his chest shattering the ribs that stood in my way. Grasping his heart In my fist, I set my hand aflame.

"Trust me, you're the one who doesn't have a chance up against me," Squeezing tightly I thrust forward to finish him off but he disappeared. Everything went dark once again.

"What's wrong with her!" Max's worried voice screamed out, I heard the immediate shuffling of feet at my side. Gasping out for breaths of air my eyes shot open, his worried expression turned soft and his ragged breathing became steady.

"Wh-what happened?" Abi pushed back my hair with a worried expression as she glanced at my arms.

"We're not sure, we heard you scream out in your sleep and came rushing to your side. Alex and Abigor are frantically searching through that book you were giving, they're looking for answers." As I sit up pain immediately hits me, my head is killing me. pinching the bridge of my nose to make my headache more bearable the smell of blood caused me to gag. There's blood dripping from my fingers and grotesque open wounds on my wrists. Abigor came rushing into the room, nothing could stand in his way as he came over to me. I didn't notice how much I was shaking until he crawled into bed and held me in his arms.

"I was so scared," my monotone voice caused him to tighten his hold on me.

"I know, it was absolute horror for all of us to see you in so much pain." The other three scrambled to find medical supplies, Abigor sat me up as Alex wrapped my wounds as carefully as he could. As they discussed what could possibly have happened Max leaned down to kiss my forehead.

"I don't know what I'd do if anything else happened to you, we'll take care of everything." Abigor smiled sadly in my direction and gestured for everybody to follow him to my side.
"I know who did this. It was her grandfathers doing." Max became very animated and threw his hands in the air.

"How is that even possible, she was sleeping."

"I know because I've been in the presence of his dark magic before. Those wounds, are only seen when dark magic is involved, the black goo left behind due to his tampering with dark spells is a clear sign of foul play."

"That thing I saw couldn't possibly have been my grandfather." Everybody but Abigor was silent, he's the only one who has dealt with such strong forces before.

"What did the demon look like?"

"The only thing I could see was its sharp teeth and its red eyes. It was wearing a cloak to cover the rest of its body.

     "This isn't good."

     "What do you mean?"

"Your grandfather has fallen to the darkness, black magic comes with a great price. I was hoping we could somehow talk some sense into him, with you being his granddaughter and all. But that isn't possible anymore, he's too far gone."

"What does this mean for me?"

"We need to defeat him before he gets to you if he gets to you when you're vulnerable such as when you're asleep, we can't save you." Abi was getting a call so she excused herself from the room, Alex placed the book beside me. A strange electrical buzz originated above my head and before I know it another book slammed down on my head.

"Can you stop causing me so much headache!" A yellow post-it note fluttered down and landed on my lap. It read forgive me, from yours truly, Satan.

"What's that book for?" Abigor smirked, which unsettled me just a little bit.

"This is instructions on how to find your grandfathers hideout."
