LILY SAT IN CLASS, BORED. It had been three weeks since her last callback. She had been brought in for two callbacks since the first audition. But that was over a month ago.
Lily thought that they probably gave the part to someone else at this point. Probably someone like Millie Bobby Brown. But she didn't mind. She had been considered for a movie role! That was enough of a honor.
Lily's teacher droned on and on about analyzing a script. No matter how much she loved her drama class, Lily knew that if he could, her teacher could talk for hours.
Lily glanced at her best friend Olivia next to her. Usually they would pass notes to each other when the teacher began to drone on. But for some reason Olivia was captivated by whatever the teacher was saying.
So Lily snuck on her phone. She checked Instagram and Snapchat and twitter and even wattpad until she went to her emails, hitting refresh. Five new emails popped up.
Spam, school fundraiser, discounts for shops, more spam, and...
An email from the Russo brothers.
Lily's breath hitched as she clicked on the email and began to read.
Hi Lily, CONGRATULATIONS!
"OH MY GOD!" Lily screamed and dropped her phone.
"What?!" Her teacher whipped around to look at her. "What's wrong?!"
"Lily?" Olivia reached out and touched her arm. "What happened?! Are you okay?"
Shaking, Lily picked up her phone and handed it to the teacher. She put her hand over her mouth to stop the laughter that was escaping from her lips. The rest of the class was confused, looking from Lily to the teacher as he read the email. Olivia jumped up, trying to read over the teachers shoulder, but she was too short.
"Oh." He said, putting the phone down. "Holy shit Lily."
The class erupted into questions. What happened? What was on the phone? Why did Lily scream?
"I was just cast in a movie." Lily laughed. The class grew louder.
We're happy to say that we want you to play Scout B. in the upcoming movie Infinity War! Filming is starting in three weeks. Please keep this a secret until we release the full cast tomorrow. Congratulations again! We're all looking forward to working with you.
"I can't say what movie!" She gasps, looking at the teacher. "I shouldn't have showed you oh god-"
"Oh don't worry." He grinned. "I won't tell a soul. Congratulations Lily."
Lily smiled back as the teacher tried to calm down the class. Olivia was talking a mile a minute.
"Can you at least tell me? What about your character's name? The franchise? The director? Will you miss school? Can I come to red carpet events with you?"
Lily was too happy to respond.
