IT WAS THE FIRST TABLE READ AND Lily was terrified. It was a sunny Saturday afternoon in New York City and Lily's mother told her to get there early to seem more professional.

Bad idea.

She got there a little too early. Lily's anxiety was going through the roof as she sat in the room. The only other people in there were the Russo brothers. Lily was comfortable with them because they were there during her audition and callbacks. They said hello to her, gave her a script, told her not to look at it yet (or else), and began talking to each other. Lily tried to listen but they just talked about legal stuff for the movie which got boring after a while.

After a few minutes, the door opened and in walked EVERYONE. To Lily it looked like everyone who had ever been in a Marvel movie ever just walked in. Did they all uber here together or something? She tried to stay calm and shrunk down in her seat a bit. No one noticed her at first which she was relieved about. They were all too busy talking and laughing with each other.

Lily couldn't help but be a little starstruck. These were the people she's been looking up to and watching on screen for years.

"Lily!" Someone exclaimed. There was the man who got her into this Mark Ruffalo happily made his way over to her and gave her a hug.

"Congrats on getting the role!" He said. "I'm proud of you!" Lily smiled.

"I wouldn't be here without you." She replied. "I wanted to thank you again."

"You definitely deserve this kiddo." He said. "Although I still haven't signed those adoption papers." He winked and Lily giggled.

"Ill mail them to you." She said.

"Perfect. Hey, I'm not exactly sure who you're playing." Mark said. "Scout B? Who's that gonna be?"

"Guess we'll have to wait and see." Lily said.

"Mmhm. Hey guys!" Mark turned around. "Come meet Lily!"

Oh god.

Everyone turned and looked at her and Lily felt her face go red. Way too many attractive people were walking over to her. She felt intimidated. Lily tried remembering who everyone was when they shook her hand or hugged her or said hello. She felt dizzy.

"Hey there!"

Pratt.

"Hi!"

Johansson.

"Nice to meet you!"

Evans.

"Welcome to the team kid!"

Stan.

"We've heard a lot about you!"

Hiddleston.

"Mark said he adopted you, is that true? Is there like a line we have to wait on to do that? Fight to the death?"

Downey.

And probably a million more. Lily's checks hurt from smiling by the time she had met everyone.

Lily spotted a boy her age, maybe a few years older, sitting alone as well. She recognized him as Alex Oswald. They smiled at each other, glad to not be the youngest there. Lily made the first friendly move.

"Hey." She said.

"Hi." Alex smiled. He had a British accent. Lily's heart melted.

"Alright, let's get started." One of the Russos said. "Were only gonna read certain scenes to avoid huge spoilers..."

"No way!" Chris Hemsworth laughed. "So Scout is his little sister? I didn't see that coming!"

"Wait she's who's sister?" Tom Holland flipped through the pages of the script. "I'm on the wrong page."

"Just keep reading Lily." One of the Russos said.

"Where have you been?" Lily read. "It's been three years! I thought you were dead. Not even a phone call. And now you just waltz in her like nothing even happened. Some big brother you turned out to be."

"I said I'm sorry Scout." Read Mark. "I was in space!"

"What, so that means your phone doesn't work?" Lily replied. "Our data plan didn't cover space?"

"Okay maybe I should go." Alex read. "This seems like a family thing..."

"You're not going anywhere!" Lily exclaimed. The group at the table laughed.

Her character had turned out to be pretty cool. Apparently Scout B was Scout Banner, Bruce's little sister who was left behind. Much like Hawkeye in Age Of Ultron, Bruce had kept her existence a secret to protect her. Alex's character was Scout's best friend.

Lily loved the characters sarcasm and sense of humor. It was a small part, but that didn't mean that Lily wasn't grateful. Plus, she could now unironically call Mark Ruffalo "bro."

As she looked around at all these people who she had called her heroes for so many years, Lily smiled. She had made it.

Finally.
