The hours I had to wait fly by and I finally find myself walking to Ava's. The party started at 7, but I decided to leave a bit later so I wouldn't get caught as easily. Finding Ava's house taking the backside of roads did get really confusing but I eventually made it. I'm met with the same grand house I remember seeing after Max's party when Ava took me back to her house and told me about her baby.

I see Estella's, Olivers, Ria's, and Max's cars all parked in the driveway. I walk to the back of the house to see if there's any sort of music or loud talking I can hear to decipher which room they're in. Lights and loud talking are heard from the parlor and I assume they are in there, like they always used to be. Though the voices are loud, they are still too muffled to make out what they are saying. I need to get closer to the room they are in.

I take a deep breath before walking through the back wall and into Ava's house. The talking is clearer, but I still want to be closer to them. The risk is too worth it to not hear what they are talking about. I slowly and very quietly make my way around and up the stairs that lead closer to where they are. Luckily for me, all my old friends are facing away from the entrance to the parlor, allowing me to slip into the guest room next door. I start to listen to the conversation they're having,

"Woah it just got really cold in here. Did your AC turn on or something Ava?" Oliver questions.

"Probably. It does that sometimes," she answers.

Oops. I didn't even think to consider them being able to feel a coldness since I feel nothing anymore.

"Anyways," Ava continues, "Max, wasn't Jane suppose to come? I remember you texting me she's back in town now."

I don't even have to see Max to know his facial expression changed to a shocked and sad one.

"Oh.. u-u-um, yeah" He stutters with a worried voice. "There is something I need to talk to you guys about. It just happened and I'm still shaken up about it so it'll be hard for me to say. You guys need to know that Jane... Jane commited suicide last night. After my shift at Mel's, I was visiting Harry's grave, and when I was walking up to it, I saw her just laying there, her arm covered in blood," Max says, sighing.

I'm sure talking about this out loud isn't going to help him forgive himself. And that is the opposite of what I want happening. I can hear them all gasp at once, surely shocked at the news that just came out of his mouth. They begin asking Max questions all at once, probably just making him more flustered. Faint sniffles probably coming from estella or Ava are the only other noises left in the room when Max speaks up,

"I know, I know. When I found her I was in such shock I couldn't even comprehend that it actually happened. She had came into Mel's earlier that day and was very distraught. Guys, the reason she came back to Castle Hill was because her parents died in a car crash. I should've known to comfort and help her out more when I saw she was like that. I can't help but feel like it's partly my fault that she did this."

Oliver starts to say, "Max, there's nothing you could have done to stop her. You can't blame yourself for this."

"I know, but-"

"But nothing. You can't get worked up over this girl, dude."

It was hard to hear, but I don't blame him really, I could tell Ava hit his arm and shushed him, implying that he went too far.
