HARRY'S POV

I am so glad that Jane is here. Being alone in the afterlife with just my grandma was okay but boring, I didn't realize how much I missed her until I saw her again. When I was just with my grandma I thought a lot about how she was doing since we didn't even say goodbye before I passed.

But now that she is with me and I can actually feel her, there's no place I'd rather be than just road tripping with her in the car. The music low, the noise of her soft breathing filling the car, and the windows down.

The one thing that I cannot seem to get out of my head is the fact that Jane's parents may not remember her. I know she'll be crushed if they don't so I seriously need to tell her.

We're about 20 minutes from the hotel we were staying so I let Jane sleep until we get there. I go over in my head how I want to tell her, since there really is no easy way to say it.

Is she going to believe me when I tell her? If she doesn't and her parents really don't remember her, what is she going to do? Will they remember her? How will she react? These are all things I'm going to have to take into consideration when she hears what I have to say.

I pull up to the loop in the front of the hotel and turn the car off. I lean over to Jane and cup her face with my hand and run my thumb over her cheek. She moves over in her seat and starts stretching her arms out with a big yawn on her face.

"Hey sleepyhead," I say softly.

Her eyes flutter open and she has a sleepy smile on her face when she says, "Hi, Harry."

"Let's go inside, yeah? Maybe get some lunch at the hotel?" I ask her.

She nods her head yes and begins to grab her things around her. I get out of the car and open her door for her just as a bellhop comes to take our bags. I hand the keys to the valet and guide Jane to the front desk to get our room keys.

The bellhop follows us up to our room to drop off our bags and quickly leaves after.

"I can't believe we're here! I'm so excited to show you where I grew up," Jane says.

I walk over to her and wrap her in a tight hug and set my chin down on the top of her head. "I'm excited for you to show me," I tell her.

She looks up at me with a big grin and says, "So let's get to lunch then!"

My brain is quick to remind me that I wanted to tell her about her parents during lunch, but I shake the thought quick enough for Jane not to question my thoughts. I grab her hand and head down to the hotel's restaurant.

"Just 2?" the hostess asks as Jane and I walk up to the entrance.

"Yes please," Jane answers.

"Follow me!" She leads us to a booth table in the front left corner of the dining area and sets down the menus for us to look over.

"Thank you," I tell the her just before she turns and walks back to the front podium.

A few minutes later our waiter walks up to the table with water and asks us if we were ready to order our food.

"I think I'm going to get the barbeque chicken pizza. Want to share with me?" Jane asks me.

"Sure, that sounds good."

"Perfect. We'll share that please," she tells him and hands over the menus.

"I'm so happy to not be in the car anymore. It feels nice to not be cramped in there," I explain after drinking some water.
