AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hey guys! Hope you like this chapter! There's only going to be two more chapters after this since it's a sepilogue. We've enjoyed writing this so much and we are sad it's coming to an end, but trust us, the last two chapters are going to be good! Thanks for reading our book! -Em

Our eyes lock into a stare when he opens his mouth and says in his deep voice that I've missed so much, "Jane?"

Happiness overwhelms me. It's really Harry standing in front of me, the fear of him not remembering who I was now gone from my mind. His cold feeling is no longer present between the two of us. I'm so overjoyed that my body takes control and takes two bigs steps towards him ready to be surrounded by the new warmth but same comfort he would give me in the past when we would hug.

But just as I am about to wrap my arms around him he puts his hand up to stop me from moving any further towards him. I come to a quick halt as confusion and sadness creep onto my face when I look at him, not knowing why he would do this.

HARRY'S POV

"Harry... what's happening? Why'd you-" Jane starts to say as I look behind myself and back into the house to see if my Grandmother is nearby. When I see she isn't, I turn back around and step outside, shutting the door behind me.

"Jane, I... I don't know what to say. I'm happy to see you but, why are you here? More so, how are you here?" I ask her.

"Harry, I'm dead. How else would I be here? Of course the first thing I would do when I get to the afterlife is come look for you," she says with a worried look.

I'm very curious to as why she would be here. It's only been two years since I've last seen her, which is a long time yes, but quite suspicious considering her past habits. "Yes Jane, I know that. But... how did you die? It's been only two years, why would you be dead?"

He cheeks flush pink as she looks down at the ground. "I-I died in a car crash. On my way to see... my parents back in Castle Hill. It was all an accident," she stutters out, looking concerned.

My eyes open wide at what she just said. She didn't deserve to die. I wanted her to be able to live a full life filled with happiness and love. I can't believe this would happen to her. I reach for her hand, wanting to feel her touch for the first time. Our hands connect and we both smile innocently at each other. God, I've missed her so much. Just as I am about to say my thoughts to her out loud, I notice a mark on her wrist just above her hand.

Her long sleeve shirt showing just enough skin for me to see a familiar lock mark. The same lock one would get when passing from the in between to the afterlife. If she died in a car crash, why would she have gone to the in between?

I let go of her hand and take a step back, crossing my arms over my chest. "Why were you in the in between, Jane?"

"What? I wasn't there Harry," she tells me.

"Then how'd you get that?" I say, nodding my head towards her wrist. She looks to her wrist, eyes full of confusion. "You only get that when you pass over Jane. So tell me, why'd you lie?"

Panic takes over her face. She's at a loss of words and stands there in front of me silent. All I can hope for is that this is just a misunderstanding, but I need to know the truth.

"Harry, can we go for a walk?"

"That sounds like a brilliant idea, Jane."

JANE'S POV

When Harry accepts my proposal to go for a walk, we walk around the front and side of the house, towards the backyard and to the clearing. The whole walk is silent and Harry kept at least a 4 foot distance between the two of us the entire time. I really wish he didn't question me or even notice some mark that I didn't even know I had let alone existed.
