I stared at Maui, uncomprehending. He chuckled at my face.

"You look like a fish out of water." He chuckled again and made a fish face. I gave him a look.

"I'm just... surprised... The palace of the gods?? Is it even possible for me to.... go?" Maui furrowed his eyebrows and looked up at the sky. He adjusted the sail and answered,

"I have to be honest with you, Mo, I don't know. We will see when we get there."

"Any idea what they want?", I asked. I leaned back against the mast of the boat.

"Again, I don't know. We will have to find out." He tied the oar so it would stay put and keep the sail in one direction. He stood up and stretched. I stifled a yawn with my hand.

"It's getting late. You should get some sleep. You look dead on your feet.", he said. I shook my head.

"You said a true wayfinder ne-never sleeps", I said, stuttering through a yawn.

"True, but princess? You aren't doing the wayfinding. I am. Now get some rest ok?" I nodded and slid down the mast to sit. I was nodding off when I felt myself being lifted. My eyes snapped open and I found myself on Maui's lap. I stared at him, my face getting hot.

"Shhh, just go to sleep. I got you. I'll wake you when we get there." His hand shifted awkwardly through my hair. I was too tired to protest. My eyes closed and I nodded off. When I was just about to fall into sleep, I felt Maui's lips touch my forehead.
