8. A Day With Originals

He woke up next morning to see it was beyond 12 in the noon. Shit! He had to go to school not matter what. He changed into proper clothes and headed out of his room. He needed to have blood. But he don’t have time for it. Is it okay to go school this late when school will be over within couple of hours? No. He walked downstairs and decided he can wait at her house after texting her.

He was at the bottom of the stairs when he heard Damon talking on the phone. Someone else was on the other side, it was man’s voice.
Damon- no. I’m not coming to help you there.
Man- Damon, don’t be an ass.
Damon- Klaus is about to come in town for sacrifice and Stefan is hell bend on stopping him. I am not leaving him alone at this time.

Man- you still after your pathetic brother?
Damon- Enzo, he’s my little brother and you’re not to judge our relationship. I saw him die. I tortured him for weeks. I almost killed him. I will have to fix that. I’m trying. I know it will take time after what I did, but it will be fine, one way or another. I hope.

Enzo guy chuckled.
Enzo- Damon Salvatore sound mushy. Okay, here is the thing, you wanted to know about this Klaus guy’s location, he’s going to be there soon and that’s what I get to know. I will have to dig deeper.
Damon- Klaus is a dangerous guy. You stay away from him. I don’t want more information losing your ass brother. Be careful and you’re coming soon.
Enzo- bye.
He hung up.

Stefan walked inside to see his brother sitting in a chair with a drink.
Stefan- who’s Enzo?
Damon rolled his eyes and walked over to the kitchen . Stefan followed him.

Stefan- look, I know I have been real bad lately and that was… fair to some extent but….
Damon poured himself a glass of blood.

Stefan- I’m sorry.
Damon frowned and looked up.
Damon- I don’t want you apologizing me Stefan. All you have to do it to stay safe. I told you not to leave last night and I do know that you were late outside only to piss me off because at some point I kind of deserve it. But how about to keep your vengeful emotions packed for a while till this is all over?

Stefan- Damon….
Damon- no! We don’t have to talk about it. I’m tired Stefan. Go on a hunt and be home on time.
Stefan- okay. What… what happened to the werewolves?
Damon- I took care of it.
Stefan- how?
Damon- you don’t have to think about it.

Damon read a text as it was saying- meet me at the grill, and it was from an unknown number. He headed to grill and settled in a booth. He didn’t wanted to think who it was. He loved surprises. He leaned back and crossed his legs. He was getting impatient as the person was taking too long for the meeting.

He was tapping his foot continuously when Ric walked to him and settled opposite him.
Damon- are you insane!
Ric- calm down.
Damon- an unknown number to text me.
Ric- you know how much I love to give surprise and how much I love for surprise you, mate.
Damon smirked.

Damon- this is my best friend Ric’s body, Nik.
Well, it was daddy dearest in his best friend's body.
Klaus smirked in response.
Damon- how long it is been like this?
Klaus- yesterday.
Damon- how is this going to happen?
Klaus- how about you tell me why you hid about Kathrine?
Damon looked away annoyed.
Damon- that is something I will not like to keep in nit to discuss pile.

Klaus- I hate betrayals kid.
Damon- that was not betrayal.

Damon- I really had rough months Nik. You have no idea what is going on here.

Klaus- is it Stefan there with the doppelganger? I know, they are dating, teenagers. They don’t have better judgement about who to date and who not to.
