Chapter 10-Finally Together

*Chapter 10

Finally Together

Trees falling, the sound of fire is everywhere. The sound of men screaming in pain, there bones being crunched by either the trees or something. "Clare," Lilly says and pulls on my shirt stoping me. I look at her, "You should rest, your bleeding."

"Oh I'm ok dont worry about it," I look at the twins, "Are you two ok?" They nod. I start walking again clenching my side. This really hurts, unlike the last one I couldn't feel it at all. We have to call for our dragons but then the gaurds will know where we are and come after us. We get to a open spot. The sound of foot steps were behind us.

I look behind and see a whole bunch of guys were coming. Theres no point in dying, I thought, I push the kids behind me. "Nightmare!!!" I screamed. And just as they were going to fire Nightmare landed with a thud infront of us. His wings cover us from the bullets that were firing at us.

The second the gun fire stopped he turns around and attacked them. Ripping them to shreds in mear seconds. Blood went everwhere and limbs were being torn apart. He kept going making sure every singel one is dead. "Nightmare," He looks at me, "I think they are dead." I heard him laugh a little in thought.

He comes over and looks at the kids. "Are you ok," I nod but he narrows his eyes, "Liar. Do you think I can't see the blood coming out of your side and I can smell it."

I look at the kids, "You can call your dragons, I'm pretty sure they are here." 

That instant three dragons landed on the ground on Nightmares side. The female looking one is really thin with what looks like no muscle and just a bit smaller then Nightmare with green and black eyes. But the other two were in the middle with muscle. Everything with them is the same but the eyes, one was grey and black but the other is purple and black.

I smile, "I guess they can't call you small since your bigger then them." I say to them.

"Shut up." the kids go over to their dragons and talk to them. Nightmare snakes his head down to my level. "Im glad you are ok Clare. I don't know what I would do if you ended up dying."

"You would start all over then." I mumble to him and brush the leaves off of me.

"I would die first before someone tried to kill you Clare." he said with a growl. I shake my head with a slight smile. "Im sorry Clare, Ceath died,"

Tears filled my eyes. My best friend is gone and I couldn't help him. I stood there and watched him get attacked. "I saw him dying."

"He wanted to stay and help you but his body couldnt handle the stress." I shake my head and try to hold the tears.

"Please stop." I say shakingly.

He nods, "As you wish master." He nods his head. "Come on the others are waiting to see you again." I get on and Nightmare looks at the other dragons probably talking to them selves. Then the kids get on and we fly away.

God I miss this. The freedom of flying. The joy and beauty of it. The view is amazing and the breeze hitting my face is also amazing. God, there is no words to describe this feeling and how much I missed it.

But as soon as we land outside a cottage about 10 miles away from the castle. I got off and felt someone tackle me with a hug, "Clare!!!" Hope yelled. She barely knows me and she's hugging me. "Oh my god you had us worried!!" She holds me out and smiles but frowns as soon as she saw the blood, "Oh let me fix that."

I look at it, "No it's fine, it's almost healed up." The kids hid behind me. "This is Lilly, John and James," I say and smile.

Leon and Fang come out. Leon has a huge smile and Fang had his eyes wide and couldn't look away. It was really weird. "Welcome back Clare," Leon says.

I smile back and look at the kids. "No need to hide, they wont hurt you."

"They wont," says someone by the cabin, "But I most likely will," I look at the man chugging down his beer. "Come inside, we have much to discuss,"
