"austin, we all know you like her." zion pushed his shoulder playfully.

"you've been staring at her this whole time, just go talk to her." edwin tried to boost his confidence.

austin's track record for talking to girls was never good. he was always straight forward and some girls didn't like that. he didn't want to take his chances with you. he thought he couldn't do any damage just staring at you from afar, and deny the fact he liked you.

you were sitting in a booth, alone, in your favorite diner. scrolling through your social media, not aware that the group of boys were speaking about you.

"austin stop being a baby, and go talk to her." nick said, not looking up from his phone.

"guy, i don't like her," he continued to stare, "i mean she's cute, maybe even hot, but i don't like her."

"just go fucking talk to her." edwin said.

austin sighed, "fine, fine, i'm going. but i don't like her." austin got up from his seat in the booth and slowly walked over to yours.

he cleared his throat so you would acknowledge his presence. you looked up at him and smiled.

"hey, you need something?" you placed you phone on the table in front of you.

"yea, uh, do you mind if i sit?" he scratched the back of his neck.

"no, not at all." you smiled.

"so, i saw you walk in, and i thought you were cute." he grinned.

"aww, thank you. you are too," you looked to the side and saw a group of boys staring intensely at the two of you, "are those your friends?" you chuckled, pointing at them as they switched their positions. one picking at their nails and the others looking down at their lock screen on their phone, trying to act natural.

he laughed, "yeah, they pressured me into coming over here to talk to you."

the two of you talked for a decent amount of time. it was very hard for austin to take it slow, if it was any other girl, he would have asked her on a date already. but he kept telling himself he didn't like you.

"here's my number, call whenever you want to hangout." you said as you wrote your number in the palm of his hand. and with that, you left.

austin walked back to the boys and stood in front of them. "i like her." he sighed.

"told youuuu!!" zion shouted, messing up austin's hair.

"did you get her number?" nick asked

austin showed the palm of his hand, and the boys all started to yell.

"you like herrrrr!!"
