Rasicm never dies, its just how things are.
All the way through history, somethings always happening, from tryn to builg Walls to separate mexicans and white people, too nazis wanting to get rid of all Jewish people.
Its like Rich White men always need a race to treat like scum.
So of course, thats what happened when mermaids were discovered.
My parents joined a 'rebellion', trying to free merfolk.
But my mother was sent to jail after being caught, and my dad hasn't been the same sense.
So I joined too.
Like most things, it started with peaceful protests and debates, and soon got violent, but In our defense, thats the only way things like this work.
My group was incharge of getting as many people or items (depends what were doing at the time) out of the place, sense we are the fastest people, and not as tough.
The leader was a kid named Jake, sense he had been in the rebellion the longest.

Anyways, we were in a job right now, smuggling merfolk out of an auction,
There were only 7 mers there, two diffrent tanks.
After we pulled the first one out,
Which had consisted of a girl with a black bob and a blue tail, a dude with bits of seaweed stuck in his hair and a blue and white tail, and another dude with glasses and a redish tail, they were mainly quiet and nice.
The second tank had 4 merfolks, they were not as quiet.
"WERE ARE YOU TAKING US?? WHATS HAPPENING?" A shorter male with a hot red tail (as in the color his tail isnt hot Oof) said, slamming his fists onto the glass tank.
"I just explained this, were on your side, your coming with us to are building, instead of becoming slaves."
I said.
"Sure! I bet you guys just didnt have any money, oh god not only am i becoming a slave but to weird poor criminals!" The dude started.
"Anyways, 'building' do you mean like your headquarters?" A taller male with a darker red tail asked.
"No we mean our building, were not supervillians" Jake said, sighing.
"Supervillians?" He asked, confused.
Making me assume mermaids didnt have them in his culture.
"Nevermind" Jake started "im Jake, thats jeremy, then jenna and chloe are in the back." Jake said, Jenna and brooke waving after being quiet for so long.
"Im christen, the angry one is rich, thats micheal, and brookes in the back. A girl with a baby blue tail, with weird patterns on it, and a see through skirt said.
Everyone waved, and 'rich' started to calm down.
"Well now that thats over, we should probably get into the truck, I think Eric is starring at us for taking to long, c'mon" Jenna said, we all started to hurry up.
