No.

No, no. Namjoo didn't want to face him. She wanted to cover herself and hide. She didn't want to see him. At least not like this.

Steeling herself, Namjoo turned.

"It's late, what are you doing here?" She asked.

"I..." he started but didn't know how to go on. What to say? "I just..."

"Lets call it a night," Namjoo said. She really wanted to be alone. Swiveling around she moved toward the house, but Sehun finished, "I just wanted to see you."

Funny how that should have been her line. Abruptly halting, Namjoo tightened her hand into a small fist. Go home. She just needed to go home and it would be over.

"I saw you today," Sehun went on. "You came, right?"

Loose tree leaves blew past. Namjoo wanted to fly away with the wind. Be somewhere else. Go far away, but it didn't look like she could go very far.

What was the use? Sehun had seen her with Eunhui. Clamping her eyes shut, she wondered what the best alternative would be. Finally turning back, she slowly walked past him to the hood of his car and leaned against it. The vehicle was still warm and something about that was comforting.

Their neighborhood was quiet. The residents well reserved, kind to each other when needed but mostly everyone minded their own. And everyone lived by a certain ritual. At this time of night, Namjoo knew they were sleeping. Not one peep. Not one light shining through a window. She and Sehun were alone, so that if he ditched her tonight no one would know.

Very shortly, Sehun joined her leaving a gap between them.

"You were drinking," Sehun stated matter of factly.

"It's that obvious?"

"Very."

They were quick to turn silent. Was she courageous enough to tell him about Eunhui? About her life, what she had done? Could she turn him away? How could she have the necessity to give a thought to her feelings when her father was out there possibly harming someone?

She was so shameless.

"You have a sister," Sehun asked, "right?"

A bomb went off inside Namjoo's head. The earthly noise muted.

"It's just..." he tried, "well...I heard. I heard about it."

About what?

Namjoo's mind raced. She couldn't look at him yet she needed to look at him. She had never mentioned Eunhui before. What could Eunhui have told him?! Her insides screamed.

"I..."

"There's a lot you don't know about me," Namjoo was quick to cut him off. "It's not the good stuff. Lets not play around anymore and get back to leading our lives. I mean, we were busier before and there's better stuff to do."

What the hell was she saying? Now she was just rambling.

"There's a lot you don't know about me, too," Sehun counterattacked.

Hearing that brought a dainty smile to Namjoo's lips. She shouldn't be smiling because he amused her. Wiping the smile off Namjoo pressed her lips together.

"If Eunhui said anything to you, she wouldn't be lying," Namjoo affirmed. "That's why I'm not a person to be with."

"I came anyway."

He was such a smart mouth. Making her speechless. Throwing her off guard. Namjoo's eyes welled up with tears and she laughed out of embarrassment. His words touched her where no one had before.
