Milah would have really liked to say that she was surprised to see Jack, Norrington and Elizabeth kneeling together over the chest, but she couldn't. Nothing in this world seemed to be able to shock her anymore.

The Flying Dutchman had gone underwater not too long ago, and as both she and Will could not actually breathe underwater, they were forced to jump ship and swim the remaining way to the island. They had spotted the Black Pearl not to far away and had instantly known Jack would be on the island, searching for the chest.

"It's real!" Elizabeth exclaims excitedly as they move away from the chest, hearing a solid thump from inside.

Milah stops Will before they could walk forward and announce their presence. She indicates quietly that she would take their flank, just in case Jack decided to make a break for it. Will nods his understanding and they split in both directions.

Norrington stares at Jack with something akin to astonishment shining in his dark eyes, "You actually were telling the truth."

Jack scowls at the insinuation of his dishonesty, "I do that quite a lot. Yet people are always surprised."

"With good reason!" Will shouts from behind, and the three companions all jump with shock. Jack instantly frowns at the sight of the younger man, his eyes darting around nervously, as if Davey Jones was going to jump out at his any moment.

Elizabeth's expression lights up however, and she runs to him, "Will! You're alright!" she hugs him tight. "Oh, I'm so glad. I came to find you and Milah. Where is she? Is she alright?"

Before Will can answer, Jack speaks up, his tone aiming for casualness, but his eyes continued to scan the deserted sandy beach around them. "How did you get here?" he questions, and Will looks at him through narrowed eyes.

"Sea turtles, mate. A pair of them, strapped to my feet." He aims for amusement, bringing up the old tale of Jack's heroic escape himself, and Jack smiles.

"Not so easy, is it?"

"But I do owe you thanks, Jack," Will continues and the captain frowns in confusion.

"You do?"

"After you tricked me onto that ship to square your debt with Jones."

"What?" Elizabeth snaps looking at Jack with a surprised expression, which quickly shifts into anger.

"What?" Jack only repeats, pretending like he was oblivious to his own scheme.

"I was reunited with my father."

Jack smiles and claps his hands together, "Oh! Well... you're welcome, then."

Elizabeth scowls, and storms up to him with fury in her eyes, "Everything you said to me... every word, was a lie!"

Jack shrugs, "Pretty much. Time and tide, love." He turns only to be face to face with Milah's sword, the smaller girl glaring daggers at him. "Ah!" he jumps at the sight in shock, before quickly smiling, reminding her all too much of a conniving merchant. "Milah, good to see you alive and well, lass."

Milah didn't smile, she only pressed the edge of her blade closer to the pirate captain, her voice deadly and cold, "You sold both Will and my souls to Jones without a moment's hesitation," she accuses with rage vibrating in her voice.

Jack cringes, stepping away from the blade, "Still mad about that, are we?"

"I have half a mind to kill you where you stand."

"Now, you don't want to do that..."

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't," she dares, her grip on her sword tight and her eyes narrowed, as if she was ready to pull the trigger of a pistol at any moment.
