Milah rests on the deck of the Black Pearl, the crew running around frantically. The still unconscious Will's head rested in her lap, her fingers stroking gently through the drying strands of his hair, and Elizabeth sat close by them. Pintel and Ragetti haul the longboat upwards, Jack struts around, carrying his jar of dirt close to his chest, with Gibbs throwing question after question at the captain.
"Will he be alright?" Elizabeth asks worriedly.
Milah nods, "I'm sure of it." She looks up at the blonde woman, "What are you doing here anyway?"
"I came to find you and Will. I needed to know that you were alright. It took me a while, but I caught up with Jack eventually," She explains and Milah nods.
Before she could ask about why her wedding dress was on the merchant ship, she hears a groan from Will. He slowly opens his eyes and she smiles, "Are you alright?"
He groans, once more, "Just peachy." His eyes widen, and he bolts upright, looking at her with wide eyes, "What happened to the chest?"
"Norrington took it to draw them off," Elizabeth tells him.
"What of the heart?"
Before Milah could respond, their heads spin around as the Flying Dutchman bursts out of the water, coming up beside the Black Pearl. "You just can't get rid of these bastards, can you?" Milah mutters bitterly, as she stands beside Will and Elizabeth. The Black Pearl crew all look to the ghostly ship with eyes wide as saucers, the depth bright with fear.
"Lord almighty..." Gibbs whispers with horror from beside Jack. "Divine, deliver us."
Jack smirks, "I'll handle this, mate." He looks at the Dutchman and calls, "Hey! Fishface! Lose something? Hey?" With his gloating, Jack didn't notice the stairs until it was too late, and he tumbles down to the deck below. The crew all wince sympathetically as he hits the floorboards hard.
"Got it!" Jack stands up, struts across the deck holding his jar of dirt proudly, "Come to negotiate, eh, have you, you slimy git? Look what I got. I got a jar of dirt! I got a jar of dirt! And guess what's inside it?" Jack sings, but everyone looks at him as if he had gone completely mad.
"Enough!" Jones shouts and the Flying Dutchman's cannon covers slide down, the cannons themselves emerging from the holes.
Jack's smile had completely dropped and he mutters weakly, "Hard to starboard."
"Hard to starboard!" Milah relays his order, screaming it at the crew as they rush to avoid the canon fire.
"Brace up the foreyard!" Will yells as they all race to push the Pearl away from the Dutchman, who release a round of cannonballs at the black-hulled ship. The heavy cannonade from the Flying Dutchman blows large holes in the Black Pearl's flank, smashing through the captain's quarters with no remorse.
"She's on us!" Pintel screams as he and Ragetti run across the deck. "She's on us!"
The Black Pearl had managed to get ahead but the Dutchman released a triple-barrelled cannon fire, barrel rotating after each blast. The cannonballs hit the ship as well as the water. Jack calmly pushes Gibbs away and takes control of the wheel, pushing the Pearl onwards.
Milah hangs onto the rigging as she looks back to see the Dutchman was falling behind, their canon fire harmlessly hitting the ocean leagues away. Elizabeth leans out beside her and she cries with relief, "She's falling behind!"
Gibbs comes up beside the blonde and grins, "Aye, and we've got her!"
Will frowns from the other side of Milah, looking back at the Dutchman, "We're the faster?"
