Chapter 8:E

YOUR CHOICE

e) Confess after the assignment.

I slowly pace into the school grounds, my hands are crowed with the work I done after school last week. I nervously gulped when I saw my Art class.

I can't get Sehun off my mind. I am nervous but also excited as well. I just can't think of what to do, this is my first time confessing to someone, I'm sure it was easy for him though.

I stopped at a the corner of the classroom and waited for Lami as I was too nervous to go in by myself. While I was waiting I scanned through the school halls, begging that I wont see Mingyu before we had the assignment.

But life was against me today.

"Hey Miso" I heard a familiar voice call me, but it wasn't Lami.

I turn and my eyes followed whoever called my name. I came face to face with the same guy who confessed to me last week.

I wanted to run away, I'm not ready, I thought I was, but I'm not.

I turned away and pretended as if I didn't hear him, but he ran up to me and placed his hand on my shoulder.

I stiffened in my place and he noticed, he slowly lifted his hand of my shoulder.

"Sorry" I heard his sweet voice became engulfed with regret and sadness. I immediately spun my body around and met his eyes once again, he seemed as awkward as I was as he hid his arms behind his back.

"Don't apologize" was all I could say in this situation, he looked down retrieving his arms from behind his back and revealing a bright pink rose.

My eyes widened in shock as I looked up at his excited figure. He smiled widely at my reaction and pushed it to me, signaling me to take it.

I reached forward to claim the soft gift. My finger wrapped around the thin stem and my thumb rested underneath his tanned palm.

He chuckled a bit before loosening his hand on the stem, releasing a small circular item that landed nicely on my knuckles.

I looked at it in awe. The shinny metal was tinted with a bright shade of pink to match the flower. A light design was engraved inside of it, even though you wouldn't see it when it was on your finger, it was nice to look at. I also noticed that there is some more indents on the outside of the ring, but they just look like dips and lines, they don't say anything.

Sehun notices and showed me an almost identical ring, only it was tinted with a blue shade and his indents on the outside were slightly different. I finally realised what the rings were for.

"Here, give me yours"

Yours?

I slowly let go of the thin stem and allowed the small metal object fall in my hand. I pushed it towards Sehun with it laying on my open Palm and he gently took it from me. He the held both rings in between his thumb and index finger and slowly rotated the until the unreadable marks matched up together, spelling two words.

'Together Forever'

I smiled upon reading such a meaningful word, that's pretty cool that they match up like that, like puzzle pieces. He became satisfied with my reaction and handed back the ring that he previously gave me.

"So what do you think?" He asked me with curious eyes, no doubt he's been waiting for a reply for a while now.

"W-well, I uh" My stuttering didn't help, I hadn't prepared yet I don't even know what to say.
