Shadows and the light
Chasing you and me
Walking in the same
State and melody
Sometimes the light
Embraces me
Sparkling and glitzy
Cuddles with me
Then some days at night
The shadow engulfs me
Telling me stories
Of what I could have been
Both of these times
I just want to feel
Like it's okay
To be what I want to be.
