My parents had decided to take me to the riverside so that I could start practising how to walk without my walker.
I was wearing an orange jacket with pale pink trousers and my shoes.
I remember my dad squatted ahead of me, a huge smile on his face and his arms outstretched, ready to receive me as I wobbled towards him.
I can't recall who exactly managed to capture this moment (my parents would be able to tell me) but as I struggled to reach my dad, I tripped on the pebbles and fell on my nose. On the photo, I came out looking blurry as my hands and face fell towards the ground.
Of course it hurt, I had a small scratch. But my mum put my pacifier into my mouth and took a memorable selfie with me to mark the day that I took my first steps alone.
