After the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry was walking with Hagrid in the Forbidden Forest. Suddenly, Harry trod on a small pebble. Picking it up, Harry handed the rock to Hagrid after Hagrid wondered what it was, not noticing the small pattern scratched onto the rock. Hagrid now keeps the Resurrection Stone on a small, worn-out box on his mantle.
