Agent affair [Wesari AU]

Chapter 14

Mari arrives at the airport, 20 minutes before her plane leaves.

She goes up to the desk and checks in.

She decides to sit and wait for 2 different reasons: 1. The plane to be ready and 2. In case Wes comes.

She gets out her phone and looks at a selfish she took of her and Wes, after they arrested Ian.

After 15 minutes, the announcer tells people to start boarding the plane to Spain.

Mari sighs in disappointment that Wes didn't come and stands up to catch her plane.
"MARI!!!" A familiar voice calls.

Mari turns around to see Wes running towards her.
"Wes?" She asks, relieved yet confused.

Wes stops in front of her, panting.
"Mari, I'm so sorry for my reaction yesterday. I wasn't expecting you to tell me that" He says.
"I was the same when my boss told me and I don't blame you for reacting like that" She replies.
"Mari, I really don't want you to go. I want us to continue to team up for missions" Wes tells her.
"I don't wanna go either, Wes but I have no choice. I've never been an agent for team ups but you were the best and I wish it lasted longer" Mari states, tears forming in her eyes.

Wes doesn't say anything and grabs her cheeks, pulling her face and lips closer to his.

Mari kisses back, without hesitation as they close their eyes.

A few seconds later, they pull away.
"I love you, Atomic" Wes says.
"I love you too, Link" Mari replies.

Mari turns around and walks in the direction of her plane as Wes stays where he is, watching her.

Mari then stops and looks over her shoulder at him and they make eye contact.

But she continues walking until she gets on the plane.

Neither of them knowing if they'll see each other again.
