Chapter 6

Agent Atomic ended up going back to the agency, empty handed and her boss was not happy.
"I gave you another chance, Atomic and you blew it!" He yells.

Mari steps back, frightened.
"Sir, the other agent was there again. He ruined my opportunity to bring in the target" She argues.
"That won't work this time. You should've taken care of him but you did in your own way instead of the way you were trained" He informs her.

Atomic was confused to how he knew.
"How do you know that?" She asks him.
"I had our computer geniuses hack into every security camera in the state. I saw what happened in the alley. I was impressed with how you took down the target and when you fought with the other agent until you kissed him and let the target get away" He explains.
"But he put me under like... a spell" She tries to explain.
"And your training should have been able to make you not fall for it. I saw everything" He says.
"I'm sorry sir" Atomic apologises, dropping her head in shame.
"You should be. I'm afraid I have to drop you from this case" He replies.

Mari looks shocked but she had kinda been expecting that.
"I'll send Agent Ringer to get the mission done properly" The boss says.

Atomic leaves his office, making sure to slam the door behind her, in frustration.
