Sope One-Shots

A Year Ago, Today

Notes: This is just them being soft for each other and their dogs lol I hope you enjoy this soft mess.

"Hyung. Are you serious right now."

"Yeah why wouldn't I be? Is there a problem here Namjoon?" Yoongi asked through the phone.

"You know that's not normal right? That people don't normally celebrate their one year anniversary with their dogs...right?" Namjoon asked in disbelief, a laugh bubbling in his chest, "I mean, maybe some people do, but your Yoongi. The most hard core man I know."

Yoongi bent down in his little apartment, an energetic Holly pawing at his feet as he hooked a leash around the dog's collar, "Yeah well, Holly's an exception alright? Don't you have a date with Jin or something your running late for?" He asked, smirking into his phone.

"Aish hyung that's not for another-wait is that really the time?! Oh no hyung I'm late I'll talk to you later bye!" And with that, a frantic Namjoon ended the call, causing Yoongi to chuckle as his Holly was now running in circles, "Your so cute, you know what it means when I put the leash on you, don't you?" He cooed as the little dog started prancing towards the door. Yoongi smiled, making his way out of the apartment, and heading straight for the dog park.

It was a warm spring evening, and the dog park, resting in the middle of New York was normally the busiest place in the city, and of course today was no exception. But Yoongi had a quiet spot in the park, hardly anybody ever claimed the large hill with the willow tree growing atop its soil.

Yoongi sighed, it was far enough away from all the commotion, and the little hill always offered a great view of the sunset under the large willow. He bent down to unhook Holly's leash, taking his usual spot under the trees shade as he watched the little brown pup run, he would shout short praises when the little animal would do virtually anything at all, "You're doing great sweetie!" "Look at my little Min Holly!" "Keep it up buttercup!"

And like this, Yoongi couldn't have imagined spending a better anniversary with his beloved soul-pet. Well, until,

Until another brown and white small dog, wearing what seemed to be a light blue sweater, came jumping into their little area. Running straight for Yoongi, the boys eyes grew wide until the little anime jumped, quite playfully, into his lap.

The dogs hair was tangled in bows and clips, big eyes and fluffy ears Yoongi couldn't help but to let his heart grow soft for the little thing as he asked, a gummy smile on his features, "And hello to you too little guy!" The dog jumped up on Yoongi's chest, licking his nose as Yoongi laughed even more with each pup filled gesture.

Not a moment later, Holly was in his lap as well, playing with the little dog and fighting for Yoongi's attention as well, Yoongi couldn't wipe the smile off his face even if he tried.

"Micky! Oh my gosh Micky there you are!!" An unfamiliar voice called from below the hill, Yoongi saw a young man with a green backpack slug off his shoulder, seemingly his age, tall, brown hair and whose eyes shined, like actually shined.

"Sir I'm so sorry, I promise I told him to stay for two seconds and when I turned around whoosh! Next thing I know he's sprinting down the park!" The man spoke with a mixture of relief, panting and laughter.

Yoongi shook his head, "No worries, he's a cute little thing really."

The boy smiled, and Yoongi couldn't help but to notice how his smile glowed just as much as his eyes did, contrasted by his sun kissed skin, "Looks like Micky's taken a liking to you, mind if I join you?"

And the realization dawned on Yoongi that the little dog really did like Yoongi for some reason, as he nodded as the man sat down and continued, "Usually if he runs off like that he looks for something to bring back, like a stick or a rock or something and he gives it to me" He laughs, gazing down fondly towards his little dog in Yoongi's lap, "But this time it looks like he found you instead."
