My name is Emma Salvatore. I was born in Mystic Falls in 1848 and I was one of the most respected woman in the small town of Mystic Falls, Virginia. My father loved me and pampered me ever since my mother died when I was young. I had two older brothers whom I adored; Stefan and Damon. They were my best friends and I always could count on them to love and protect me against anything. Stefan was only a year older than I, while Damon was a few years ahead of both of us. In the year 1864, when I was 16 years of age, a monster invaded my town, my people, my family, and changed my whole life.
