The rest of the day went smoothly. After the bell that ended history I ran as fast as I could without being noticed by everyone. After school, all I wanted was to go back to my trailer and cry. Today had been so hard. It had taken everything in me not to tell Stefan everything. I was halfway to my car when I heard Someones voice behind me. ''Emma! Where are you going?'' I sighed and spun around to see Bonnie running to get to where I was. ''Are you bailing on Cheerleading?'' Her face fell into a scowl.

''Sorry Bonnie I forgot. But I'll go. Caroline would kill me if I didn't show up.'' I rolled my eyes.

''Yeah hey have you seen her? I haven't seen her since lunch. She randomly disappeared.''

I shook my head. ''No I haven't seen her. She wasn't in her afternoon classes with me.''

Bonnie looked down at the ground. ''I don't know what's up with her. Anyway lets go.'' She eyed my clothes. ''Do you have anything to change into?''

I looked at what I was wearing. My dark skinny jeans hugged my legs and my white top with a graphic design on it hung loosely around my body. My many necklaces hung from my neck. I shook my head at her. ''No I didn't bring any.''

She frowned. ''Well I think I have an extra pair of shorts but I don't have a shirt. Are you wearing a cami?'' I nodded and smiled. ''Great! Lets go.'' She smiled and wrapped her arm through mine. The second she touched my arm she jumped back.

''Bonnie, what's wron-'' I cut my self off knowing exactly what happened. She had touched me. She felt the dark cold feeling that all witches did when they first touched me. Bonnie stood there starring at me for a moment, just like she did with Stefan. I stood there and watched her with weary eyes, waiting for her to respond.

After a moment, she shook her head rapidly. ''Sorry I kinda spaced. Come on lets go.'' Her voice was filled with fright as she walked in front of me quickly.

I stood there for a moment watching her walk before running to catch up with her. ''Bonnie wait!'' She slowed down but didn't stop.''Bonnie what is going on?'' I decided to play dumb. That was better than spilling everything out. ''One minute you all excited then you changed like that,'' I snapped my fingers. ''What happened?''

She looked at the ground. ''Nothing happened it's just,'' Bonnie sighed. ''Okay I'm going to tell you something. Something you can't tell anyone alright? I only told a few people and you're my friend now so I think I can trust you.'' She glanced around nervously before pulling be to one of the benches outside of the school. I sat down next to her. Bonnie took a deep breath and began. ''Alright well I don't even know how start.'' She laughed without humor. ''Anyway I tell you, you're just going to think I'm crazy.''

I shook my head. ''I promise I won't. You can trust me.'' I looked into her eyes and even I knew that I meant it. For about the millionth time, I wondered what had happened to the girl who wouldn't have gave a damn about one witch contemplating her sanity.

She sighed again. ''Okay.'' She gave me a smile before continuing. ''So the first thing is what I know. I know that I have been seeing things and feeling things that I can't explain.''

I pretended to have a confused look even though I knew exactly what she was talking about. That's how it always started. I had met enough witches over the years to know that. ''Like..?''

''Like just now. And the other night at the Grill? With Stefan. You saw that right?''

I nodded. ''Yeah you gave him Elena's number then freaked out about something.''

''Yeah. When I touched him, I felt this.. I can't describe it well. It was cold and dark. It vibrated through me. That's what I felt when I just touched you. That's why I'm so freaked out now.'' She slumped back careful to avoid my touch.

''Me? What did I do?'' Still playing dumb.

Bonnie shook her head and put it in her hands. ''I don't know! All I know is that I felt the same thing in you as I did in Stefan.'' She looked up at me with worried eyes. ''It's how I would imagine death Emma. And I'm scared. I don't know what to do or what it means or anything!'' She put her head back in her hands.

I reached over and took her in my arms. She flinched at my touch. Realizing my mistake I released her. ''Sorry.'' I mumbled.

''No it's fine.'' She sniffled. ''I just wasn't expecting it.'' Bonnie reached up and wiped away the few tears that had escaped from her eyes. ''Come on. We better go, Caroline will kill us if we're late.'' We both started to walk in silence.

''Bonnie?'' I asked quietly.

She turned to look at me. ''Huh?''

''If you ever need anyone to talk to about this, you can come to me. Now I know you would probably feel better talking to Elena since she's your best friend but I just want to let you know that I'm here for you. And I believe you.'' I smiled at her.

Her face became bright, all of the doubt about me pushed from her mind. She opened her arms and hugged me tight, not even flinching at my touch. ''Thank you.'' She whispered.

I held her close for a moment before releasing her. ''Come on, we better get there before Caroline does.''We laughed and ran towards the football field.
