5 1 1

Eyes cast downward
He whispers the words
I hear them
Yet I act as if I don't
He says them louder
And they kick in
My breath goes cold
My happiness fades
A sinking feeling
Oh so consuming
I lower my gaze
From the imaginary world
And meet my reality
Dark eyes
Staring
An emptiness in them
Taunting me
At this point
I am more hurt by his words
Than he is
Even if he's the one
Wishing his life away
