Y/N P.O.V

You and Impulse finally arrived at Mount Justice, and you could hardly believe the fact that you were here in flesh and blood. But you managed to calm yourself, trying to remain cool.

"Who's this?" A voice asked once noticing your presence.

"Oh, um this is Y/N." Impulse explained. "Y/N, this is Black Canary."

You turned your gaze, only to be met with a woman dressed in black. She seemed to be studying you, almost as if she was trying to find your weaknesses.

"Bart...why is she here?" She questioned, lifting her eyes from you.

So, his name is Bart, You thought, but still remained quiet.

"Well, I sorta saved her, but I think she might have powers." Bart stated, getting straight to the point.

"What do you mean 'might have powers'?"

"Y/N, show her." He ordered.

You walked closer to her, giving her a glimpse of the bullet hole in your clothing.

"A man shot me, but for some reason it had no effect, almost as if he never shot me at all." You explained. "I don't know what would have happened... if Bart didn't come and save me."

"I understand you've been through a lot, Y/N." She said, her voice calm. "I understand you are just as confused as we are, but in order to help you understand you need to trust us."

"I do." You stated. "All I want is answers."

"Well then, let's go get some. Follow me."

You turned around, facing Bart before you left.

"Thank you." You said. "And hey, maybe I'll see you around?"

"Yeah." He replied, a smile on his face. "Maybe you will."

You then followed Black Canary, being led to to an area with a computer system. You couldn't deny the fact you were scared of what lied ahead.

"Now, this isn't going to hurt." Black Canary reassured, as if she noticed your fear. "I just need a blood sample, to study your DNA."

"Okay..." You mumbled warily.

She took out a needle, wiping of your arm for precaution. As she inserted the needle you knew you could trust her, if she wanted to hurt you, she would have done it by now.

You watched as your blood filled the tube, no pain being present. Soon enough, the process was over.

"See that didn't hurt." She exclaimed. "You're one brave girl, Y/N."

Now all you could do was wait. Answers outlined your path in the future, and you could barely wait. Black Canary showed you where you would be staying for the night, leaving you alone with your thoughts. As you laid down on your bed, slumber immediately took you in. Thoughts of new friends—of Bart lingered in your mind as you drifted off.
