Writing Prompt: Use this dialogue somewhere in your story: "I don't think that person knows how sandwiches work."

"Can we leave the house today?" Miles asks as he turns to look at me. We were just hanging out in his apartment watching The Office when this happened. As soon as Miles turned 18 he moved into his own apartment. His parents aren't good people. They used to be. This isn't the time to think about his life story though.

"Where do you think we would go if we left?" I asked him as I turn to look at him.

"I don't know we could go to the park?" He suggests.

"The one we first met at?"

"Yeah. We could have a picnic?"

"Nah, lets go somewhere else."

"Ok we could go to-"

"Wait! I have an idea."

"Whats your idea? Because if it's anything like mine then something is getting set on fire." He asks.

"Ok so my idea is that we go eat somewhere and then come back to your house."

He gives me a bored look and says, "that's what we always do."

"Yeah and its worked for 2 years." I say.

"No we should go to the science center, but only go to the constellation part." He suggests. He knows that constellations intrigue me.

"Yes! I'm here for that idea! Lets do it." He looks over at me and smiles. I sit up and turn off the T.V. Then I go put on my shoes as Miles follows my lead. We head out to his truck and start our outside trip.

20 minutes later we arrive at the science center. We walk in and head for the constellation section. We use to come here all the time. We would prank the workers sometimes. We found this place when my mom took us here for a school project 7 years ago.

We open the door to the constellation section and walk in. "It's been a year since we've been here." Miles says as we head to the observation room. I nod in agreement as I see the sign that says The Constellation Observation Room. Our favorite place in this building. I can feel the excitement building up the closer we get to the observation room. We get to the door and Miles puts his hand on the handle to open it. He stands there smiling at me with his hand on the door for 3 minutes before I figure out that he is messing with me again.

"Open the door Miles!" I exclaim at him. I'm excited to be back here after a year. He chuckles and opens the door. We walk inside and look at the constellations that are projected around the room. I forgot how beautiful it was in here.

"How can stars making shapes look so cool?" Miles says in amazement. It's like it's the first time we walked into this room when in reality we've been here hundreds of times before. It's just a dark room with constellations projected all over the walls and ceiling, yet somehow it's so beautiful. They have bean bag chairs that you can sit in just to look at all the constellations. We look around and notice that we're the only people in this room. We grab 2 bean bag chairs and set them in the middle of the room. We spent the next hour observing the constellations.

By the time we were exiting the science center we were both starting to feel hungry. "Hey you wanna grab some food before going home?" Miles asks as we get in his truck.

"Yes! I was beginning to think you would never ask me that." I reply as Miles starts the truck. He chuckles and asks where I want to go. "Um, how about Subway?"

"Yeah lets go there." Miles agrees with me. When we get there we order our sandwiches and sit in a corner booth. I look around as we eat and see a girl trying to eat her sandwich by cutting it into tiny pieces.

"Hey Miles look over there." I whisper pointing at the girl cutting up her sandwich. He looks where I'm pointing and starts laughing.

"I don't think that person knows how sandwiches work." He says as he starts laughing again. I mean do you know anyone who cuts up their sandwiches to eat them. I glance over at her again and now shes using a fork to eat the sandwich pieces. Miles and I look at each other and burst out laughing. People are starting to stare now so we quickly get up and leave while calming down. We go back to his apartment to watch some movies to finish up our night before I go home. I'd say this was a pretty great day. We saw some constellations then we ate Subway and saw a girl eating a sandwich with a fork after cutting it up. Now we're sitting on his couch wrapped up in blankets watching Netflix. Yeah this was a pretty great day over all.
