My high school decided for a senior trip we'd go to Disney World. So here I am on a school bus beside my best friend Daniel on our way to Florida. We're staying in a hotel about 10 minutes from Disney. I have to sadly share with someone I don't know since all my friends paired off excluding me. Only 50 people in my class decided to come for the week something about having better plans for the summer after graduation instead of a childish place like Disney.
The drive had become so boring that I fell asleep and was awoken by Daniel shaking me.
"Wake up we're here" Daniel said
I sat up in my seat to see the huge hotel outside my window. Daniel stood up and started to walk off the bus I followed his lead until we got off. Once everyone was off the bus the organizer of the trip Principal Taylor began telling us all the rules we had to follow.
"All of you are adults so I trust you to make the right choices and to be responsible" she began but I slowly zoned out.
After what seemed like hours she dismissed us to go check in, the part I was dreading the most.
"I really wish y'all didn't pair off and make me have to room with a random person"
"Oh it'll be fun, you can make a friend" my friend Aspen said.
"Oh really, how can it be fun, what if it's someone I don't like or someone that doesn't like me or even worse what if it's someone I like" I said rambling on as they all started to laugh at my predicament.
I checked into room 607 on the sixth floor. Daniel and his roommate Meghan checked into room 608 so maybe this can't be all bad cause I'll be right next to them. The rest of my friends had rooms on different floors. Daniel, Meghan and I headed to the elevators.
"Hey I can tell your nervous, but don't worry, if it doesn't work out you can always sleep on the floor in our room" Meghan told me I just smiled at her silently thanking her for her offer.
The elevator doors opened on the sixth floor. We walked down the long hallway until we reached our rooms. We said our goodbyes as they went in their room. I took a deep breath and swiped my card unlocking my door. The room was gorgeous it had one bed which lead me to believe that maybe I was alone. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and called Daniel.
"Miss me already" he answered
"The principal said everyone had a roommate right"
"Yeah why?"
"Cause there's only one bed"
"Haha" I heard him laugh
"Do y'all have one bed to"
"Yes, Callie we have one bed"
I heard the door unlock and I saw the door knob turn.
"Oh shit someone's coming in the room" I said running to the balcony door walking out "go out on your balcony now"
"Fine then bossy pants" he said hanging up as he walked out on his balcony.
"What do I do?"
"You walk in there and you see who your rooming with"
"Hello?" The person in my room said
"Go now!" Daniel told me I flipped him off before I walked into my room.
