What If?

Chapter 5

Nolan's POV

Falling asleep last night next to Callie was like a dream. And waking up next to her was even better. I noticed it was pretty early so I thought it'd be nice for us to go get some breakfast together.

"Callie" I said shaking her slightly. All she did was turn over burying herself into me. Damn she's really making this whole waking her up thing hard with her being so cute. "Callie wake up" this time she grunted "wake up" I repeated.

"Why?" She asked

"Cause I wanted to take you out for breakfast"

"Okay" she said waking up. Once she realized she was lying against me she began to blush from being embarrassed "Sorry" she said.

"It's okay" I said smiling at her which she returned.

"You ready" she asked putting her glasses on.

"You're gonna go like that" I asked

"Yeah, why"

"Oh nothing just most girls would want to change"

"Oh do you want me to change?"

"No no no I like it" I said making her blush once again.

I love that she's okay with going out with no makeup on, her hair up and her pajamas on. And she still looks beautiful. Okay it's official I like this girl. She's different in a good way.

"So, where we going?" she asked when we got in the elevator.

"You like pancakes."

"I love pancakes" she said making me laugh.

"Good to know"

When we reached the sidewalk I thought about holding her hand but I decided against it. I didn't wanna rush things especially when I don't know if she feels the same way about me. If I took her hand I'd only complicate things if she didn't feel the same. I decided on taking her to iHop since it was a short walk from our hotel.

At iHop we were sat in the very back. Callie ordered a sweet tea and 3 buttermilk pancakes and I got the same.

"So you excited to go to Disney" I asked.

"Yeah I've always wanted to" she said smiling bright.

"I remember you telling me that"

"Really, you remember that" she said shocked.

"Yeah" I said right as our food was brought to us.

"So what ride are you the most excited for"

"Oh I don't know what about you"

"Probably the Tower of Terror which you will go on"

"I don't know about that" she said.

"Oh you will go on it even if I have to drag you, we'll go on it together"

"Whatever you say"

"Come on it won't be that bad I'll be there beside you the whole time, you know what I'm willing to bet you'll want to go on it a second time" I said.

"Okay fine I'll go if you'll go with me"

"Callie"

"Yeah" she said looking at me

"Did you like me back in 9th grade?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I was just wondering that's all" I said but what I really wanted to ask was 'do you still like me?' but I couldn't, not yet.

Callie's POV

Nolan has been acting weird all of breakfast and now we're on our way back to the hotel. Walking in complete silence.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

"Yeah, why?"

"I was just wondering that's all" I said repeating his words from breakfast when he asked if I liked him back in 9th grade.

Once we got to the hotel room he went to take a shower and I just laid across the bed since I didn't need to start getting ready for hours. Thoughts of Nolan filled my brain to the very tip. Guys say girls are confusing but I'm willing to challenge any and all claims of that because the boy has my head and heart doing somersaults every time he's near me. I soon drifted off to sleep as thoughts of him filled my brain.
