Nolan's POV
My friends had all decided who they were rooming with leaving me out of it all. The time had come to check in which I had not been looking forward to the whole ride here. I checked into room 607. I grabbed my luggage and walked to the elevators. Just as I got there it closed so I waited for the next.
Once I was on the sixth floor I wandered about trying to find my room. Once I did I swiped my card to unlock it and opened the door. The room was big and the first thing I noticed was that there was only one bed which meant whoever I was rooming with would either sleep on the floor or beside me on the bed. Beside the bed was a pink suitcase and on the bed was a jean jacket which meant my roommate was probably a girl.
"Hello?" I spoke as I walked into the bathroom. I heard a door open and close. I poked my head around the corner to see who it was.
"Nolan?" She asked.
"Callie?"
"Oh this is great" she said clearly annoyed.
"Aww it's not that bad"
She turned around and walked back out on the balcony. I decided to follow her to see the view we had. From the balcony you could almost see Disney. I could tell she was annoyed I was here but that she was also excited to be here in Florida just minutes away from the happiest place on earth.
I walked back into the room and started to unpack I thought I'd give her the closet and I'd take the dresser. She walked in and sat on the bed.
"You can have the closet if you like"
"Okay that's fine"
"It doesn't have to be awkward between us"
"Whatever" she said getting up grabbing her suitcase lugging it across the room.
My phone rang bringing us out of this awkward silence.
"Hello" I said into the phone.
"Hey, it's Tyler"
"Hey what's up"
"There's a party by the pool tonight you coming"
"Yeah I'll be there" I spoke.
"Ok see you there" he said before the line went dead.
Callie's POV
The fact that Nolan is my roommate makes me have butterflies because I like him a lot ever since freshman year but he made it clear he didn't like me but I've never gotten over him I've tried over and over again but I just can't it seems. And I feel like this week will just make things worse. He probably thinks I hate him but it's just the opposite. I'm honestly thinking about taking Meghan up on her offer of sleeping on her and Daniel's floor. Nothing can be worse than this.
"There's a party tonight by the pool I just thought I'd tell you"
"Okay" was all I said.
"Are you only going to reply to me with one word answers" he asked.
I just rolled my eyes and finished unpacking.
"I'm going out" I said grabbing my phone and key card
"Bye" he said
I walked next door and knocked.
"Hey, what's wrong" Daniel asked when he opened the door and I walked into their room.
"Guess who's my roommate?"
"Oh god, who?" Meghan asked.
"Nolan"
"Oh my god" they both gasped.
"Yeah so I think I might take you up on the floor bed"
"Just give it a chance and then you can come here" Meghan said.
"Ugh whatever, so he said there's a party at the pool downstairs tonight do y'all wanna go"
"YASSSS!" Daniel said as we all started to laugh.
"Ok well I'll see y'all then" I said leaving their room.
