As we all know, society's rules are pretty shitty. Plus we know people judge us, "flawed", individuals for the stupidest reasons.
It SUCKS, big time.
They always judge you by the cover, never the inside. For an example, a book. If a book doesn't have a pretty cover than people won't notice it. People don't realize it but, they'll miss out on the most amazing story.
Consequently, people feel alone and don't understand why they can't be noticed for their inside and be given a chance. Being ignorant to that situation we wonder why we have depressed individuals all the time. Why they self-harm, why they're suicidal, and so on.
Even when people try to explain to them what's going on in their life they don't seem to understand it.
So, in their confusion they feel like labels will help make it less confusing. These labels create who you are in others eyes. In my community people the two main labels are depressed individals and no-good jerks. The no-good jerks think that self harm is stupid, suicide is for people who dont know how to solve their own problems, depression is a made up thing just to get attention.
How would I know? I was one of those no-good jerks until my life went downhill.
