Keith froze.

Are you sure virgin?

He bowed his head to avoid Lance's gaze. But it was obvious he was. He hid away his class and never really interacted with anyone other then Shiro and the occasional student and teacher. When his first get his heat, it was in the hallway during lights out. He had a bad fever during lunch and when to bed early. He went to go to the bathroom when he felt a wave of slick drip down his leg. He panicked and ran back to his room. He wrapped himself in his blankets to keep his scent a minimal while he writhed on the bed. He didn't have any toys so all he could do was use his fingers. He had gut cramps and dizzy spells for the entire week, which was managed a little easier when Shiro found out. But Shiro only gave him food and water when needed, he didn't want to stay in case he did something he'd regret. After it was over

"Keith?"

Lance's voice snapped from his thoughts. Keith gazed up into his eyes, he blinked.

"Are you ok?" He ran his hand through Keith's hair, emitting his alpha pheromones hoping to calm the omega down.

Keith snuggled into Lance's chest. He took a breath, "yeah, I was."

Lance instantly felt bad, he shouldn't of gone looking for Keith, he should of left as soon as the smell hit him. Because not only did he take something that was precious to the omega, but he soul bonded with Keith, meaning they were stuck like to that for life. And Keith most likely didn't like him, which was fair since he didn't like Keith like that either.

This was a mess.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Lance muttered apologies into Keith's hair as the omega trembled in his arms.

Virginity was a sacred thing amongst omega's. It means that they are saving themselves for the right alpha, it also shows loyalty since the omega is willing to stay with that alpha for the rest of its life, it's why most of them stay inside their room when they go into heat. If an omega sleeps around, they are seen as less desirable to an alpha. If an omega has their virginity forcefully taken, then they are shunned and also seen as less desirable, what makes it worse was that they follow are the alpha that did it. Lance had made a promise to his mother that he would choose wisely about who he would pick to be his mate, and to make sure that they loved him before they marked each other.

But that promise was thrown out the window as soon as keith came into the picture.

"I'm really sorry Keith." He stroked his hair and hummed softly hoping to calm Keith down. It was working. Keith's breathing slowed and he pulled away from the hug.

"It's ok, I don't think either of us were thinking."

Lance sighed, "ok, get some sleep buddy."

He wrapped his arms around the omage and allowed him to snuggled into his chest.

One week turned into two and finally Keith was allowed out.

Lance had taken great care of him, bathing him, feeding him, making him feel safe, just like an alpha should do when an omega is in heat. But he felt horrible for it.

Since Keith felt responsible for most of what happened and practically forcing Lance to become his mate, he had been feeling a little down. It's been bugging him ever since he got out of his room, thanks to him, Lance couldn't choose his own mate.

He heard shouting coming from the control room. Shiro was scolding lance about being away from training for so long.

"What if the galra were to attack and we couldn't form voltron? You haven't been you training, you haven't helped out on missions, you haven't even been to meals." Shiro folded his arms.
