Devon couldn't take that kiss off her mind, it's been a week since the last time she witnessed Selena and Jack making out session.

she regretted not leaving early that day, she went to the library to bring her sketch book and when passing in the hallways she heard some whispers, thinking it was one of the staff, she took the turn but stopped dead in her place, it was true she saw Selena kissing Jack but it always has been quick pecks, and it has been a while since they did it.

she never asked Selena about her relationship but she felt that there was something wrong because the cheerleader was spending alot of time away from her beau, but after witnessing how hard she grabbed the hem of his shirt the way she gazed at him during that kiss, she felt stupid for letting herself believe for a tiny bit that she might stand a chance with the beautiful sweet girl.

After that day, things started to get awkward again between them, Devon wasn't able to hide her pain, she even cancelled their usual meeting up on Saturday to study for the math competition, and she avoided the library more and more.

On the other hand Selena didn't know what was going on between them, the only thing she knew that she didn't like the situation, but she was scared that she could make things worse, so she stopped going to the library and spent more time with her boyfriend as she promised him, not because she wanted to but more likely because she wanted to stop the weird fuzzy feelings she was getting around Devon, and how she weirdly compared her emotions around her boyfriend to the ones whenever she was near the chocolate skinned girl or thinking about her, wich was something she was doing quite a lot lately.

She couldn't deny how much she missed their times together, how much she missed being on the other side dealing with Devon's goofy side that nobody witnessed, how the chocolate skinned girl's eyes gazed at her tenderly.
Now Devon became more tensed around her, and avoided her whenever she could, Selena felt like she climbed really high and was about to reach the top of Devon's wall to suddenly find herself where she started.

She was torn between finding the courage to discover what kind of feelings she had for the deep-ocean eyes, and ignoring them intimated by where her discover would lead her.

It was a Friday afternoon and Selena wanted a peaceful place to relax after a stressful week, dealing with Jack and her friends who started to notice her anxiety, and Devon the girl she wanted nothing more than forgetting about but it's easy said than done.

Roaming the street of Coconut Grove, where she spent her life since its beginning, she was never a city lover, and it was weird from her parents the city addicts like any business professionalist to chose a suburb as as a the green surrounding the suburb always set her soul free and reminded her that life can be beautiful sometimes when we look at the right things

She turned off the engine infront of a small coffee shop called Ivy, it was the first time she noticed that place and she loved it from the first site, it wasn't fancy, not a place her rich friends would ever visit, and that was enough to let her give it a try.

Walking in, she was met by the smell of sweet coffee mixed with fresh wood after a rainy day , soft music filled the background, the atmosphere was peaceful and kind of quiet compared to the good amount of people gathered inside, as if it was a silent agreement that people come there to relax, study or clear their minds.

Glancing around for an empty seat, her eyes landed on none other then the chocolate skinned girl who occupied a corner at the far end, she was about to turn around but stopped after noticing a girl her age approaching Devon who was distracted by her drawing, the girl suddenly leaned in and hugged Devon resting her chin on Devon's shoulder, Selena felt a weird stinging that intensified when Devon giggled at something the girl said, Selena realized then how badly she missed that smile, her legs ignored her brain's order and carried her in the direction of the girl who have been troubling her sleep for a while.
