bonnie pov

(Jeremy has his laptop on his legs)

"You sure it's safe here?" jeremy asks me. "Yeah, I'm sure." i tell him. He leans over and takes something from his bag  "What is that?" i ask him curiosly. "It is MiFi. If we're gonna be stuck here, then we might as well have Internet." he explains to me. i look at him seriously. "You don't have to stay down here with me' i tell him. "Hey, look, I'm not letting you out of my sight" he says looking at me. "I... I need you to talk to Elena for me. Tell her how sorry I am for what Damon and I had to do" i tell him choking. "Well, um... Why don't you tell her yourself?" he says as he turns the laptop so i can see elena on the webcam

[Salvatore House]

(Elena is talking with Bonnie via webcam) Elena: Bonnie!

elena pov

"Elena, Elena, I'm so sorry" bonnie tells me. i shake my head "It's ok, it's ok. I just needed to see you for myself." i tell her smiling sadly. she starts crying. "There wasn't enough time for me to tell you" she says crying. "It's ok, seriously. Damon explained it all" i reassure her.  

(Damon is in his bedroom. Elena rejoins him)

damon pov

"Ugh. Look. Klaus had to think she was dead. Your reaction had to be real" i tell elena wanting to avoid a lecture. "I understand why you did what you did. Klaus was fooled, and Bonnie's alive" she tells me surpriseing me. "Here's to duplicity" i say sarcastically. "But let's get one thing straight, Damon. Bonnie will not die for me, I will not let that happen" she says.

"We need to kill Klaus, Elena. Real Klaus. Who will probably be coming to pay you a visit soon now that he knows that Bonnie is dead. She's the only one who can do it." i tell her. "We'll find another way" she says assuringly. "I hope so" i sigh. "Look, I shouldn't have hit you" she says voice filled with regret. "Apology accepted. Let me be clear about something. If it comes down to you and the witch again, I will gladly let Bonnie die. I will always choose you" i tell her. She doesn’t say anything for a moment but she then sighs "Good night, Damon" she says. "Good night" i tell her. she glances at me and leaves.

3rd pov

Elena goes into the basement. Opens the cellar, looks at Elijah’s body and removes the dagger. She sits down next to the body.

 

~Alaric’s apartment~

(Klaus/Alaric is at the door with Maddox. Katherine is making coffee and layla asleep on the couch).

"I'll be back as soon as I can" maddox tells me. "Yes, do hurry. I'm anxious to get out of this body. And if you get hung up, call me. You know how impatient I get" i tell him. Maddox leaves. and i close the door  "Where is he going?" katherine asks. "To retrieve me. So I can get out of this bad hair-do." i say and walk over to the couch and look at layla sleeping peacefully. i caress her cheek and lightly kiss the top of her head. "Are you sure that's a good idea, Klaus?" she asks.

"well, the full moon is almost upon us" i tell her and set the moonstone on the table. "I've killed the witch, I have the moonstone, and the doppelgänger is waiting in the wings. Ohh, I am ready to break this curse." i tell her. and i want to get out of this town with layla who i found out from a witch freind is my mate. the only person i can procreate with. "And why would you do that here? There's so many people that would try to stop you." katerina says, "Because I have to. It's the birthplace of the doppelgänger." i tell her.

"I didn't realize that was a requirement." she says, i walk up to her and play with the moon stone in my hand. "Well, how could you? You betrayed me and fled England before I could give you the details, Katerina. But I did find your birth place and I slaughtered your family. So I guess we're cool. Let's just hope that Elena isn't as stupid as you were." i tell her. "She won't run. She'll die before she lets anyone that she loves get hurt." she tells me,
